Early Years Supervisor (Ref: E/EYS/L/0525) Permanent - 20 hours per week £14,029.60 per annum Job Purpose ​​​​​​​The role of the Early Year’s Supervisor will be to deliver quality early year’s services to support the delivery of the Sure Start programme within Lisburn Sure Start. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the early year’s services ensuring that a welcoming, safe and child centred environment is created. ​​​​​​​ Job Role To assist in the induction of all Early Years Assistant staff within the Lisburn Sure Start Project alongside the Early Years Coordinator. To line manage and supervise Early Years Assistant staff. To supervise any student placements and volunteers within the early year’s programmes of Lisburn Sure Start. To implement a child-centred and welcoming environment at all Sure Start programmes and activities. This team ensures minimal downtime and high productivity through reactive and preventative maintenance, condition monitoring, and continuous improvement. They also support new equipment installations, including validation, and contribute to improvement projects. Additionally, they manage critical spares and stock. Purpose of the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund: ​​​ ​​​​​​​The aim of the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund (USBF) is to ensure that the heritage, culture and language of Ulster-Scots are expressed through moving image for a Northern Ireland audience. The USBF is also open to supporting radio and interactive content and funds a trainee scheme designed to attract production trainees who are passionate and knowledgeable about Ulster-Scots. ​​​Decisions to allocate resources from the USBF are taken in line with the assessment criteria outlined in the USBF Guidelines and USBF Priorities (click each to view). Key amongst these criteria is the level to which the project makes a contribution to the status and promotion of Ulster-Scots, and clear evidence that each broadcast production and digital project will reach a substantial audience in Northern Ireland. ​​​​​​​Recruitment - Committee Member: The Investment Committee has delegated authority within Northern Ireland Screen to make funding decisions regarding the USBF. This is an exciting time to join our Committee as we look to further our broadcasting commitments by growing TV, Radio and Digital opportunities within the Ulster-Scots sector. The role of the Committee Member is to assess applications from local independent production companies for new TV, Radio and Digital programmes that best reflect the Ulster-Scots community, past and present. Assessments and associated documents and online links are sent to all Committee Members in advance of a Committee Meeting during which each application is discussed and funding awards decided. Next Steps: Northern Ireland Screen’s aim is to appoint the best person to each vacant post. The Automation Department look after various projects including improving existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency systematically and incrementally throughout the company and R&D for new product introductions. Location : Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Rd, Antrim BT41 4FL. Contract Offered : Full-time, Permanent. Working Hours / Shifts : 7.30am to 6.10pm, Monday to Thursday.  What does this role involve? This role will require a deep understanding of mechatronics, automation, robotics, and control systems, combined with strong problem solving skills to enhance efficiency, reliability and compliance with industry regulations. Some of the key duties of role include:  • Deliver safety and control systems that comply with appropriate international standards. • Select and integrate robotics, motion control, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems and sensors into new production lines. • Ensure compliance with ISO13485, FDA and GMP regulations where applicable. • Develop and optimise PLC, HMI and Robotic programmes (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, Staubli, Epson, etc). • Commission and validate new automation equipment ensuring functionality meets specifications, safety and compliance. • Troubleshoot and debug control systems ensuring a smooth handover to the internal customer as per company standard operating procedures. • Produce all relevant documentation, functional design specifications, electrical schematics, test protocols. Who can apply? Essential criteria: • Minimum 5 years industrial automation experience preferably in machine development. • HNC / Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or similar. • Experience programming 6-Axis, SCARA and Delta robots. • Confident with Machinery Directive and Functional Safety Standards. • Strong understanding of sensors, actuators, vision systems and robotics. • Confident designing Pneumatic circuits. • Mechanical/Electrical Aptitude. • Can work with minimal supervision and is a self-starter. Desirable: • Technical certification in PLC programming. • Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff. • Experience working in the medical device industry (ISO13485). • Experience with New Product Introduction, including R&D of new processes, associated verification and validation activities. • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Activities.
