Traveller Support Worker (Ref: E/TSW/B/251) Job details: Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £31,033 per annum Contract: Permanent Job Background: The Traveller Support Worker will play a key role in Bryson Pathways’ Floating Support Project, using a community-focused approach to provide tailored assistance to members of the Traveller community. This support spans housing, income, health, and education and contributing to society ensuring that individuals and families receive appropriate and effective services. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Identify and engage with Traveller families and individuals in need of support, particularly in areas related to housing, financial stability, health, and education and community connections. Establish and maintain trust-based relationships with Travellers to help them achieve their goals. Assist Travellers in developing the skills and confidence to manage their accommodation and equitably access essential public services. Support new and existing social housing tenants in maintaining their tenancies. Advocate alongside the Traveller community, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Candidates must possess a BTEC Higher or equivalent qualification plus one year’s relevant general administrative experience. or BTEC National or equivalent qualification plus two years' relevant general administrative experience. * General administrative experience must be within an office based environment and include either investigatory responsibility, or customer care responsibility or experience in the use and maintenance of information systems.
