Little Angels opened it’s doors 12 years ago and has seen many changes through the years but we pride ourselves in having a low staff turn over, we cater for children aged 12 months to 12 years. Situated on the Battery Rd in Longford town just off the n4 roundabout. Candidates must have a minimum QQI level 5 in Early Years and 2 years experience working in childcare. The candidate must also be fluent in English and have good communication skills.

Youth Participation Officer
Location: The role can be based remotely but will require face-to-face work at a number of locations around Ireland. Salary: €14,000 (€35,000 pro-rata) Role Requirements Decisions made at shortlisting and interview will be made based on the following considerations. Skills and Experience • A relevant third-level qualification; and / or • Experience of working in a youth work or youth arts environment; • Experience of working with young people and creating opportunities for them to lead and have their voice heard; and / or • Experience of effective stakeholder engagement and partnership working; • Experience in planning and running of events such as training seminars and workshops; • Competency in IT including document preparation, presentations and managing online communications tools (Zoom / Teams); • The ability to lead both in-person and online participation; • Experience in the use of monitoring and evaluation tools; • Good written communications skills; • An understanding of child safeguarding policies and procedures; • A full driving licence and access to a car. Role Description This is a new position created to incorporate a model of youth participation in decision making that will prioritise young people’s ideas, opinions, and voices in our work. The following responsibilities will be prioritised and an appropriate timeline created once the Youth Participation Officer is in place. Responsibilities • Attend training with Hub na nÓg and maintain links with Hub na nÓg; • Coordinate IAYO staff, board and stakeholder training with Hub na nÓg; • Gather evidence of best practise among members and networks (including outside Ireland); • Develop resources for members around youth participation in youth orchestras; • Assess all aspects of IAYO work for elements of and opportunities for youth participation including attendance at courses / events; • Develop induction training for new members of IAYO Youth Committee; • Plan focus group process and expectations and recruit focus group of youth reps from member orchestras; • Focus group of youth reps from member orchestras to develop strategic plan and charter of participation for IAYO youth committee; • Develop youth participation policy for IAYO and templates for member orchestras, in conjunction with IAYO youth committee / focus group; • Recruitment of new members of IAYO Youth Committee; • Induct members of IAYO Youth Committee; • Coordinate youth committee participation in events e.g. Festival, Ovation Awards; • Ongoing support of IAYO Youth Committee to include planning and evaluation of progress and monthly meetings; • Liaison between Committee and IAYO staff & board; • Identify and organise development opportunities for members of IAYO youth committee e.g. additional training, guest speakers, NYCI; • Ensure safeguarding children principles are applied to all work with young people in line with the IAYO safeguarding statement and policy; • Create and implement a monitoring and evaluation process for the development of the youth voice / youth leadership in IAYO.

FIRST AID AND EMERGENCY TECHNICIAN | €13.15 per hour Operating out of the First Aid & Centre, you’ll be responsible for triaging and if appropriate treating the guests and colleagues who either present themselves to the First Aid Centre or who have had initial response from a Center Parcs First Aider. You will also respond to on site first aid or emergency call outs, with a focus on assessment, stabilisation, and initial treatment before signposting or referring on to HSE services appropriate to the level of injury/illness sustained. Other responsibilities will include completing and reviewing audiometry vulnerability assessments, logging all incidents and actions, ensuring compliance with company and GDPR standards and providing welfare follow-ups post incident, documenting any onward treatment requirements and outcomes. Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicants will be required to undergo Garda Vetting. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence. HOURS OF WORK We have various hours available per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis, with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
