Services covered: -General Medicine (MUH & St John’s) -Older People Services are provided by Home First (Emergency Medicine/AMAU/ Unscheduled care) and the Older Persons Assessment Liaison services –OPAL -Acute Stroke -General Surgery including ICU/CCU -Orthopaedics (Trauma & Elective). Depending of the post(s) on offer, the Senior clinician appointed may work with the Medical in-patients in MUH or in St John’s Unit, Castlebar. (S)he will aim to provide client centred OT interventions to enable participation and engagement in activities of daily living during and after discharge. This will be achieved by engaging the users of the service in the occupational task(s) that they want to, need to or are expected to do or by modifying the occupation or the environment to better support their occupational engagement.
