Summer Camp Team Leaders
This summer we will be running 2 types of camps. Art camps and STEAM camps. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our teams of leaders nationwide. STEAM CAMP LEADERS Bring the wonders of Science, Design & Technology to primary kids by delivering fun, interactive summer camps with Designer Minds! This role involves travelling to various venues, using equipment such as LEGO, robots, and art and science materials, and guiding primary children through a range of fun activities from STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths. You will be provided with the lesson plans, training and equipment. ART CAMP LEADERS Bring the joy of art and design to primary kids by delivering hands-on, interactive camps with Designer Minds. This role involves travelling to various venues, bringing art, design and tech equipment and guiding children through a range of interactive art activities; painting, drawing, upcycling and sculpting as well as some digital art skills such as creative coding, animation and graphic design. You will be provided with the lesson plans, training and equipment. Travelling is essential as Designer Minds events do not take place in a fixed location. This job involves travelling to a different venue each week for summer camps. Having your own car would be an advantage. Designer Minds leaders work in groups of 2-3. Most camps are scheduled from 9am-1pm, Monday to Friday, with afternoon camps on some weeks also, from 2-6pm. This is a fantastic experience for teachers, special needs assistants, early childhood experts and professionals with a background in the STEAM subjects or ARTISTS / ART TEACHERS. It is an opportunity to develop skills in a vibrant and forward-thinking educational environment. Pay rate is dependent on position and experience. A travelling allowance will also be provided. Required Education, Skills and Qualifications Above all, you must be enthusiastic about working with children, with an upbeat, kind and friendly manner. Salary and Benefits: €14.00 - €19.00 per hour. Role: Behaviour Therapist – Laois/Offaly Location: The successful candidate will have the choice of working in Portarlington or Tullamore Tenure: Permanent (Full-time) The successful candidate will become a key member of an evolving psychological services team led by the Principal Psychology Manager. The post will involve close collaborative working with the Senior Psychologist. The post holder will contribute to developing interdisciplinary supports for people in receipt of services from the clinical supports team in Laois and Offaly. The post holder will provide psychological supports to a broad range of individuals with intellectual disabilities, Autism and mental health concerns. The office base is negotiable - Portarlington or Tullamore. The person appointed will work as part of the psychology team, and in close collaboration with other clinicians, in providing assessment, formulation and multi-component behaviour supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and Autistic adults with high support needs. Internships in the Communications Unit of the Department of Foreign Affairs
Applications are invited for paid internships, which may arise in the Communications Unit of the Department of Foreign Affairs. The Unit's role is to promote Ireland and Irish foreign policy internationally and to provide strategic guidance to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ministers of State, our teams based at the Department’s headquarters in Dublin and our Embassy and Consulate network. The Unit is part of the Department's Global Ireland and Economic Division and is made up of the following teams: Press Relations, Multimedia and Digital, Public Diplomacy and Content, Irish Aid Communications, Internal Communications. A key aspect of the Unit’s work is to manage digital communications platforms and advise internally on how digital communications can be used to achieve the Department’s objectives at home and abroad. These internships will offer a unique opportunity for talented individuals to work as part of a highly motivated and skilled team on innovative projects covering a range of disciplines of relevance to policy objectives. Internships will be for a duration of 22 months. All internships will be based in the Department of Foreign Affairs, Dublin. Successful candidates will gain practical experience by contributing to our communications across our digital platforms. The production of accurate and engaging written features and social media copy complemented by suitable multimedia assets for a wide range of platforms and channels will be core to the work. In this context, strong candidates for these roles would be able to display specialist skills in digital media. This may include, but not be limited to, areas like videography, photography, graphic design, digital asset management, social media, copywriting, ensuring consistency and adherence to accessibility standards, and style guidelines.
