Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist, Ambulatory Gynaecology, Code
The Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist will be responsible for the safety, education and clinical supervision of student physiotherapists on placement in TippUH. He/she will work as part of the multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist will provide Ambulatory Gynaecology Service, encompassing the physiotherapy Advanced Assessment, management and treatment of patients in the Ambulatory Gynaecology Service as part of the National Women’s and Infants Health Program (NWIHP) and Scheduled Care services in Tipperary Univeristy Hospital. This post will facilitate specialist interdisciplinary assessment and care required by patients on the Ambulatory Gynaecology service in order to reduce waiting times and improve the care delivered. To work with Obstetrics/ Gynaecology/ Urology/Colorectal Consultants and relevant health care professionals in undertaking the triage of ambulatory gynaecology related referrals and to efficiently and effectivetly manage the waiting lists to improve the pathway of care within this group, thereby enhancing efficient access to the related services as required. To act as a lead in the development and re-structuring of the Women’s Health and Continence Service within Tipperary Univeristy Hospital. Taking a lead in implementing the improved service model for Ambulatory Gynecology.
Radiographer, Clinical Specialist
This highly specialised post will support the NIMIS system and other Radiology administrative functions at Tipperary University Hospital. The candidate will organise and manage the PACS system on a day-to-day basis to ensure optimal workflow and to provide support and training to clinical and administrative system users, ensuring that the system is functioning effectively, efficiently & safely. This will include trouble shooting and problem solving as appropriate, liaising closely with all relevant personnel in conjunction with all other duties of a Diagnostic Radiographer. The Radiology Department in Tipperary University Hospital provides general Radiology, Emergency X-rays, Mobile X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Dexa, MRI and CT. The Radiology Department provides a highly efficient and effective service both within the hospital and for primary and community services. There is an integrated, hospital wide RIS/ PACS (NIMIS). On-call services including X-Ray and CT scanning are provided out-of-hours for the 24-hour Emergency Department. The Radiology department staff complement includes Consultant Radiologists, Radiography Services Managers, Clinical Specialist Radiographers, Senior Radiographers, Staff Grade Radiographers, Nursing staff, Radiography Assistants, and Clerical staff. The Radiology Department in Tipperary University Hospital is partnered with UCC for radiography education and we facilitate clinical placements for the undergraduate radiography programme.
