We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Senior Psychologist to join our team in North Tipperary CDNT, Nenagh, Co Tipperary . Contract Type: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract Contract Hours: 35 Hours per week Salary Scale: €91,190 - €107,186 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments) This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations. Annual Leave Entitlement : 34 days pro rata per annum Overview of the Post: To work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young persons aged 0-18 years and their families within Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT). The post holder will be responsible for the provision of psychology services to children and families attending services on the CDNT, to include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities. This post holder will be required to work across a variety of settings including the clinic, schools, preschools and special schools, children’s homes and community settings. Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: Please see Job Description for full list The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: · Applicants must have a recognised university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject, and which meets the requirements of the Psychological Society of Ireland to work as a Clinical Psychologist. AND · Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology. OR · An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health. AND · Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for. AND · Applicants must have at least five years’ satisfactory postgraduate experience in the area of professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the postgraduate professional qualification and no less than two years full-time spent in post qualification experience as a professional psychologist. Years in excess of the permitted three years for completion of the postgraduate training or time not worked will not be taken into consideration when assessing the five years’ experience requirement. AND · Applicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings, for the areas for which they wish to apply – Disability (Child and Adult), Child Psychology, Adult Psychology either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification or at least 60 days or equivalent post qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist. OR · Applicants with an educational psychology qualification must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings for the areas for which they wish to apply - Child Disability, Child Psychology either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification or at least 60 days or equivalent post qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist. AND · Be a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, or an equivalent body such as the BPS. Note: Combinations of supervised clinical placement experience as part of the qualification and post qualification supervised work experience within a single care group area to give a total of 60 days are not acceptable. Desirable Criteria: · Experience of facilitating parent groups. · Experience of inter or trans-disciplinary team working. · Experience of working with children aged from birth to 18 years, with a range of disabilities, (including physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families. · Specific experience in assessment and intervention with children with physical disabilities and/or specific learning difficulties. · Qualification and experience in completing ASD diagnostic assessments. · Experience and training in formal supervision processes. Medical Manpower Manager
Medical Manpower Manager Grade VII The Role: The Medical Manpower Manager is a key post in the management structure of Tipperary University Hospital and will provide leadership to the Medical Manpower team within TippUH. The post holder will have responsibility for the Medical Manpower Function within TippUH leading on all issues relating to both Consultants and Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors, with specific responsibilities for a number of key functions in the context of the management of medical staff within the organisation. This responsibility will include also include working with the HR Manager on recruitment and retention initiatives, staff engagement, employee relations, performance management, mentoring, workforce planning, training and development. The Person: Candidates must have at the latest date of application: 1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc. (a) i. (a) Have satisfactory experience in an office under the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 at a level not lower than that of Grade IV (or equivalent).
