As this position is funded through Pobal the persons applying must be on the live register for a minimum of 12 months. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and have excellent communications and customer service skills providing a friendly and efficient service in a busy café. An interest/flair in food preparation and knowledge of HACCP is desirable, although training will be provided where necessary. Weekend work is a pre-requisite for this role. Rostering will be over a 7 day period. • Provision of excellent customer service • Food preparation and some barista experience • Use of cash register • Knowledge of merchandise • Good house-keeping and personal hygiene practices. • Café’s hygiene and safety – including outside areas. • Other duties as directed by the Management. We are looking for two full-time and one part-time position (part time will work 2 days one week and 3 days the following week in rotation). Hours of work are 9.30am – 6.00pm normally, with occasional out of hours work to meet the needs of our residential groups. Wage Rate: €10.20 per hour. Lunch provided. In this casual role you will be required to accurately count stock using a bar-code scanner. This work is carried out for some of Ireland's leading retailers ranging from international high street clothing stores to leading supermarkets, DIY, pharmacy and book shop chains, and many more. A professional manner with excellent timekeeping will be required. Ideally your availability should be 2-3 days per week. Our order book is filling up rapidly and thus we require extra stock takers with an immediate start. This work is carried out nationwide, however, we will endeavour allocate work to you as close to home as possible, but the role is more suited to those who are willing to travel to neighbouring counties. We have vacancies in all counties for those willing to drive to work. A mileage rate of 25c/km is payable to those driving to work with enhanced rates for those willing to carry additional passengers (i.e. + 10c/km for the first passenger and + 5c/km for each passenger thereafter).
