This role comprises of two main elements. Firstly the Support Worker is responsible for all aspects of personal care required during the day. This includes supporting individuals with their meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being, to the extent required by the individual. Applications are invited for the following:- NIGHT SUPERVISOR - Clinical Nurse Manager II (CNMII) Ref: 16/2025 Permanent Full-Time (75 hours per fortnight) Location: Upton Campus and Sector 3 Community Residential Services, Cork The Purpose Be a member of the Services Team to provide effective leadership and management of night services Be responsible for ensuring the service delivered is to a high standard As a member of the Management Team participate in discussions on the future shape of the overall service and in particular the service systems at night The Services are currently engaged in a restructuring process which involves transition for some of the people supported from a campus based to community based service In addition to the nightly supervisory function the Night Supervisor will be required to be a proactive member of the management team in implementing this transition by contributing to the planning and implementation of the proposed structural plan. The progression from campus to community based residential services will require the Night Supervisor to broaden their work base in order to support staff at various community locations and the postholder will be required to respond appropriately to these changing service needs/emergency situations. As a member of the Services Team, the postholder will ensure that the interests of each person supported are paramount in discussions. Emphasis will be on forming a team approach involving people supported, families, key-workers, advocates and staff on all relevant issues. Position: Staff Grade Speech & Language Therapist Ref: 14/2025 (Temporary and Permanent Panel) Cork Children’s Services JOB SUMMARY This post also involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults, 0-18yrs and their families. This will include children with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team. These teams are under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided in the context of an interdisciplinary team. The CDNT aims to maximise the child/ young adult’s full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members . The Candidate: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualification, Experience etc. Each candidate for the appointment must possess the following: Be registered or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Board at CORU Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office Ideally, the successful candidate should have experience in Intellectual Disability / Physical Disability / Autism. Lairage / Animal Welfare Officer. ABP Bandon are recruiting a Lairage Attendant / Animal Welfare Officer for their busy beef processing plant. This is a full time role with early starts. This role would be suitable for any graduate or person with livestock experience Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for receiving livestock to the Lairage pen prior to slaughtering • Understanding declarations and ensuring all are completed and accurate prior to slaughtering • Verifying that all cattle have adequate paperwork and passports. • Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare are observed at all times. • Recording livestock paperwork, meeting farmers / agents at intake. Requirements: • Background in livestock management / farming • Must be available for early starts • Basic Computer literate, Intermediate level of English at a minimum , good general communication skills and a good competency skills needed.
