The key focus of this role will be warehouse based with delivery duties when the main delivery driver is on leave or during very busy periods when two vehicles are needed to transport very big orders. The Role: Will involve working on your own initiative, be efficient and tidy. Be able to learn quickly and have a flexible attitude to working hours. When delivering to customer to always be courteous and polite. Duties include but are not exhaustive to: - Responsible for maintaining standards of the store and the storing of all tiles and tiling applicators. Ensuring that health and safety measures are adhered to and that all tiles are neatly stored. Be willing to learn the collections of all tiles arriving in from Spain and Italy. Will receive and cross-check all orders (noting any damaged items) before signing and receipting them into stock. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed to transport tiles. Generate delivery dockets to pick customer orders and prepare for outgoing deliveries. Forklift and manual handing passes are advantageous but can be completed at the Training Centre in the retail park. Competent in the use of computer and printing systems.
