Recycling Attendant
Job Summary: The post holder will be primarily based at one of the Councils 9 Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) but may be required to work at any of the other HRCs on occasion to meet the needs of the service. The post holder will be responsible to the HRC Supervisor for the day-to-day operation of the Councils HRCs. To undertake all duties associated with the operation of the Household Recycling Centre/Amenity Site to ensure that all domestic and commercial waste is disposed of in accordance with the Council’s policy for recycling whilst providing the highest level of customer care at all times. The Household Recycling Centres are licensed Waste Management facilities and must operate in accordance with licensing conditions stipulated by DAERA (NIEA) including being manned at all times whilst open. The post holder will be required to work unsupervised and must demonstrate good customer care with site users. The postholder is required as key-holder to open and close the site Please note:
Leisure Contract Lead, Temporary
This temporary post has been created to provide internal resource required to facilitate the procurement of a future leisure services operator for Bangor Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex and Queen’s Leisure Complex, Holywood. The Leisure Contract Lead will be responsible for developing and managing the leisure elements of the Council’s new outsourced leisure contract, ensuring a robust, fit-for-purpose, and future-proof arrangement is in place for implementation from 1 April 2028. The postholder will work closely with the Project Senior Responsible Officer (SRO), Project Manager, external consultants, and internal project team to develop all aspects of the new leisure contract. They will provide specialist input across service design, performance management, partnership development, and financial modelling, acting as the Council’s lead advisor on leisure contract content and implementation. The Role The PoM Youth Officer is responsible for the promotion and inclusion of children and young people with disabilities, autism and brain injury in a personal development project, developing their social and emotional skills to enable them to participate in their local community. They will deliver a mental health personal development programme, develop young peer mentors and facilitate the promotion of Disability & Inclusion Training to local stakeholders, funders and the wider community. They will work in line with quality standards and ensure the project provides a meaningful, fun, supportive and inclusive place for our young people to become motivated and reach their full potential.
