In return, we expect you to bring the commitment and drive to add significant value to the company. About the role: Davies are looking to recruit a Desk Claims Handler in their Dublin office. This role has a particular emphasis in dealing with claims at First Notification of Loss (FNOL) and working on claims at the desk in order to advance the claims settlement process. The role entails ensuring that claims are settled in accordance with our Principals’ instructions but also handling the claim in the most effective and efficient method possible to further advance the reputation of the Davies. This individual will have autonomy within a given structure to ensure a portfolio of claims is handled to an acceptable level of performance as judged by the Directors and the audit process. What this role entails: Manage a portfolio of claims distributed from the registration unit of the Dublin office, by ensuring all claims are handled in and effective and efficient method. Responsible for ensuring customers are handled in a professional manner by dealing with the claim quickly or by communicating regularly with the policyholder. Develop, implement and carry out all practices and procedures as required by the Company and the Group and recommend changes where appropriate by agreeing the practical needs and applying change under the instructions of the Directors. This will involve obtaining full details / documents for considering the file referral to other specialist units within the Group. Ensure individual workflow claims volumes are managed appropriately by communicating regularly with the registration department and Director. This means that the adjuster is responsible for completing all required correspondence, and ensuring issue within service level agreements to include not least preliminary reports, follow up letters, final reports, engaging specialists etc. Responsibility for own training and development issues by discussing feedback and performance with own Line Manager and taking responsibility for own technical training and education. Responsible for all Health & Safety matters relating to each claim, by working within the parameters of the Group Health & Safety Policy. Promote the ethos of Davies by pro-actively managing the expectations of our Clients’ policyholders.
