Associate Professor In Education

Purpose of Position: This is a senior academic position within the Centre for Education and Lifelong Learning. The main responsibility of the post-holder will be to provide academic leadership to support the delivery and development of our initial teacher education programme for teaqching in the Further Education and Training (FET) sector and to contribute to the overall delivery and development of CELL education programmes. The post-holder will be programme director for NCI’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Educational Practice for Teaching in Further Education. As a member of the Centre’s academic team, the post-holder will also advance the development of college-wide Learning, Teaching and Assessment strategies and policy and practice in these areas. As such, the role involves occasional responsibilities in relation to the professional development of staff and faculty on the scholarship and practice of learning, teaching and assessment in higher education and participation on academic committees. Centre of Education and Lifelong Learning The Centre for Education and Lifelong Learning delivers programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level on both a full-time and part-time basis, in the areas of initial teacher education for the Further Education and Training (FET) sector, early childhood education, adult and workforce education and professional development for educators. These include the Master of Arts in Educational Practice, Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Practice for Teaching in Further Education, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Early Childhood Education and Care.
