The aim is prevention and early detection of disease to reduce deaths and incidence of disease in the populations screened. Almost 2 million individuals in Ireland are eligible for at least one of the programmes.   A number of aspects of the programmes, including essential clinical services, are discharged through memorandums of understanding with public hospitals and through contracts with external providers.   The functions of the National Screening Service are as follows:   ·      To carry out or arrange to carry out a National Breast Screening Service for the early diagnosis and primary treatment of breast cancer in women. ·      To carry out or arrange to carry out a National Cervical Cancer Screening Service for the early diagnosis and primary treatment of cervical cancer in women. ·      To carry out or arrange to carry out a National Bowel Screening Service for the early diagnosis and primary treatment of bowel cancer in men and women. ·      To carry out or arrange to carry out a National Diabetic Retinal Screening Service for the early diagnosis and primary treatment of retinopathy in the diabetic population. ·      To advise on the benefits of carrying out other screening programmes where a population health benefit can be demonstrated. ·      To advise the Minister, from time to time, on health technologies, including vaccines, relating to the prevention of cervical cancer. ·      To implement special measures to promote participation in its programmes by disadvantaged people.   The role of the National Screening Service also includes policy, development and advice.   Each of the programmes in the National Screening Service Register Office is tasked with accurately managing its register and the data from people who wish to participate in the programme.   The register office function is integral to the service and is the platform to identify and invite service users for annual screening. Full details of all four screening programmes can be found on www.screeningservice.ie   Reporting Relationship The post holder will report to the Programme Manager or other Designated Officer.   Purpose of the Post   The Grade VI Register Office Coordinator will: ·          Ensure the effective management and maintenance of the Register Office data base including ensuring data collections are properly defined, collated, documented and controlled so that they can be easily and efficiently accessed by the various data processors and functional teams while still maintaining strict data security standards. ·          Actively participate in the data analytic functions of the programme register including generation of reports and data quality assurance. ·          Be responsible for dealing with programme related queries from its service users and all stakeholders.   Principal Duties and Responsibilities   The position of Grade VI Register Office Coordinator encompasses both managerial and administrative responsibilities which include the following:   Administration   The above Job Description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved and consequently, the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to him/her from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.   Eligibility Criteria   Qualifications and/ or experience   An external recruitment campaign has been approved by FORSA   (a)   Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: Have satisfactory experience as a clerical officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004   Or   Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irish1. Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination.   Or   Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in any equivalent examination in another jurisdiction. Or   Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI).   Note1: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher level papers. A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptable. Candidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programme. The Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.   And   (b)   Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability, for the proper discharge of the office.     Health A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.   Character Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.   * A list of ‘other statutory health agencies’ can be found here.     Post Specific Requirements     ·      Experience in the development, implementation and management of databases including using multiple platforms and systems. ·      Experience writing report specifications to extrapolate and validate data in a database. ·      Experience of working in a Project Management environment assisting and supporting project delivery ·      Experience in managing and developing a team. ·      Experience of working in a high pressure and fast paced environment that has involved dealing with senior management and other key internal and external stakeholders as relevant to the role. Executive Assistant Zurich Insurance Plc is looking for a Executive Assistant to provide a variety of confidential support services to the Chief Underwriting Officer GI, Chief Claims Officer and Risk and Compliance Manager including, but not restricted to: full meeting and travel co-ordination, vetting and arranging appointments, maintaining industry and Zurich group key contacts, first draft reports and presentations and management of action points. As an Executive Assistant your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: Diary and meetings management Handle work of a highly confidential and sensitive nature Handle/screen and prioritise incoming communications Manage and resolve queries on behalf of the Senior Management Team Email management as required Manage business events, travel and accommodation arrangements Produce a variety of documents, mail and presentation materials Provides administrative support to individual(s) including the organisation of presentations and the analysis and interpretation of information/data and budgets Coordinate itineraries for visiting executives (including: organisation of meetings and numerous other company personnel; catering arrangements; transportation arrangements; preparing detailed itineraries and distributing them) Compilation and analysis of expenses Manage local procurement needs as required Contact database management Manage records ensuring effective and efficient filing and retrieval systems Organises all aspects and acts as secretary for ad-hoc meetings Produces correspondence, reports and other documents which meet high standards of quality and service, which will include co-ordination of budgets and the compiling and distributing of minutes and reports; Develops efficient and effective management information systems and procedures that allow swift and easy access to key documents and files; including monitoring and reporting on CUO & Management Team budget Co-ordinates and reports on the completion of action points as per meeting minutes on behalf Your Skills and Experience As an Executive Assistant your skills and qualifications will include: Ideally have 7 years’ experience working as a senior executive assistant/PA. It would be an advantage to have previously worked supporting Operational and IT functions but not essential Strong secondary education/preferably Degree educated Excellent use of English language and grammar Excellent skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are prerequisite Financial Services relevant professional certification would be desirable Minute taking and report writing Presentation drafting Expert high level time management and prioritisation skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Self-starter with confidence and commitment to professional delivery Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills Highly motivated and flexible individual Ability to work unsupervised and take ownership of queries/issues, bringing them to a successful conclusion Excellent organisational skills and time management Ability to work under pressure, often with tight timescales and often with a limited brief Constructive with the ability to take pragmatic decisions Flexibility in working hours to accommodate demands of different time zones. Diplomatic and highly confidential Used to working with senior executives and sensitive data The position holder will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to cross-country working and undertaking additional working hours when required Additional Information Primary work location is Ballbridge. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
