Purpose of Position: This role has responsibility for managing student recruitment for all full-time undergraduate programmes at NCI. This role is responsible for managing the recruitment activity that takes place in secondary level schools and Further Education colleges where students are applying to college through the Central Applications Office (CAO) system The role holder will manage a School Liaison team and be the lead person in designing and implementing promotional activity to second-level students and developing a strong working relationship with School Guidance Counsellors and teachers. This is a hands-on role and in addition to managing the team members will also involve visiting schools and presenting to students in class and at education fairs. The role holder will lead all activity to drive growth in CAO applications. Purpose of the Post · To provide a senior level of professional practice, clinical leadership, educational and professional development with The Centre for Obesity Management at St. Columcille’s Hospital. · To work within the Consultant-led MDT and contribute to the continuous improvement of evolving service provision, including change processes within service planning, clinical service delivery, triage and service audit. · To act as a resource and provide expert opinion, education and guidance locally and nationally to other health care professionals and services regarding the evidence based care of people living with obesity (PwO). · To advocate for patients at senior level to promote improvements in patient experience and outcome via involvement with professional organisations and media. · To participate in research in the area of obesity to promote improved understanding of the clinical management of the disease of obesity. · To provide support and supervision to basic grade psychologists, psychologists in clinical/counselling training or assistant psychologists. Principal Duties and Responsibilities The Senior Clinical Psychologist will: Professional Practice · Provide psychology service delivery within the Level 3 (Outpatient) and Level 4 (Surgical) services. · Provide clinical expertise, supervision, teaching, and CPD for psychologists and the wider MDT within the Level 3 and 4 services to promote a wide variety of high quality & clinically effective interventions. · Collaborate in the clinical assessment, case management and delivery of complex interventions to high-risk patients attending the service, including individuals with complex childhood trauma, eating disorders and other psychological issues that may impact an individual’s ability to engage with their treatment such as depression, anxiety, internalised weight bias, severe and enduring mental health issues and chronic pain. · Contribute in the clinical triage of care pathways that deliver tailored interventions including prioritisation for (a) the COM Inpatient Rehabilitation Programme within St Columcille’s Hospital and (b) case preparation and consideration for progression to bariatric surgery within the Level 4 service · Demonstrate evidence-based practice through the process of advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making and apply this to the assessment, formulation and treatment of complex cases. Service Quality, Safety and Risk Management · Contribute to the development of care pathways and high standards of safe and effective clinical care for the psychological care of severe and complicated obesity. · Support changes to work practices and procedures and innovative new models of care for best practice in keeping with emerging evidence, to sustain and enhance service delivery. · Work within the agreed Senior Psychology competency level in terms of triage and an advanced practice role. · Work collaboratively with other psychologists to facilitate department and service improvement, and to maintain the goal of operational excellence within the Centre for Obesity Management Service. · Identify, assess and report identified service risks and contribute to the management and review of these risks. · Set, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators annually to evaluate service performance as a benchmark to quality assure service delivery in line with international best practice · Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etcand comply with associated HSE protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the role. · Support, promote and actively participate in sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives to create a more sustainable, low carbon and efficient health service. About This Role Role Purpose The Procurement Manager (2-Year Fixed Term Contract) will provide essential capacity to support Coimisiún na Meán in meeting its procurement obligations under the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies, as well as national and EU procurement requirements. This role will help ensure that procurement activity is compliant, transparent, and delivers value for money in the expenditure of exchequer and levy-collected funds. The role will also support project delivery, manage procurement demand, and contribute to the successful implementation of process and system changes, aligning procurement activity with the organisation’s overall governance and strategic objectives. About the Team/Division The Procurement team currently consists of three roles: a Head of Procurement (Assistant Principal), a Procurement Manager (Higher Executive Officer) and a Procurement Officer (Clerical Officer). The team is led by the Head of Procurement who reports to the Director of Finance & Procurement. The addition of the Procurement Manager (2 year fixed-term contract) role will support Coimisiún na Meán in meeting its procurement obligations. The role will report directly to the Head of Procurement. St. Columcille’s Hospital acts as a hub and spoke model for integrated care. Located in St. Columcille’s Hospital is the National Centre for all obesity management and the National Gender Service. The Occupational Therapy Department in St. Columcille’s Hospital provides a dynamic and holistic Occupational Therapy service to in patients and out patients attending St. Columcille’s Hospital. With strong relationships with our community partners and our multidisciplinary team colleagues we strive to deliver quality and meaningful interventions in an efficient manner. Occupational Therapists in St. Columcille’s work to promote and enable independence in activities of daily living and to enable their patients to function at home as independently and safely as possible following a hospital admission, or medical event. Therapists have access to rehabilitation space in the Rehabilitation and Activities suite where we can provide individual assessments / interventions and group interventions. In patient services include Stroke Rehabilitation, Ortho-geraitric rehabilitation, Care of the Elderly, General medicine. Out- patients are assessed and treated in the Day hospital, in the Occupational Therapy Department, in Cardiac Rehabilitation and in the Memory Technology & Resource Room. The Frailty Intervention Team commenced in the Medical assessment Unit in November 2019. The Occupational Therapy service actively supports student education and participates in the student training scheme with other Health & Social Care Professionals and with Irish Universities. Students can be on site for up to 9 weeks at a time. All students are allocated a named supervisor and engage in formal supervision weekly. The Stroke Rehabilitation service accepts transfers of stroke patients from St. Vincent’s University Hospital for inpatient stroke Rehabilitation. The Stroke unit consists of 8 inpatient beds. SCH is currently an auxiliary service working alongside and as part of neuro-rehabilitation strategy. SCH works on collecting and collating data in line with the neuro-rehabilitation strategy & works closely with the identified specialist rehabilitation sites. SCH has established links with the local Community Neurorehabilitation Team (CNRT) and is represented on the Local Implementation Group for same. This ensures easy transition to community services, enhanced communication and promotion of integrated care. About This Role Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the International Affairs team, with a particular focus on managing and coordinating international and domestic travel.
