Senior Occupational Therapist WTE
Complex Behaviour Support Team Pilot Project Children’s and Young Persons Services Senior Occupational Therapist 0.5 WTE (Permanent) St. Michaels House currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join us in providing services to children with complex needs arising from a disability and their families under the remit of a Complex Behaviours Support Team. Theses posts are aligned to the Kilbarrack CDNT permanently, and the Complex Behaviour Support Team will be a pilot project. There is an existing Senior Psychologist assigned to this team and a 0.5 SLT is being recruited also. The OT, SLT and Psychologist will work collaboratively. This is a service development opportunity for the successful candidates to be involved in clinical audit and research and the establishment of evidence informed pathways for service delivery. The Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) provide a quality evidence-based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family-centred practice. The team will work across the 4 St. Michael’s House Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs): Ballymun, Coastal, Coolock and Kilbarrack with a base in the Kilbarrack CDNT (Grattan House, Northern Cross). Line Management will be by the Children’s Disability Network Manager with clinical supervision provided by the Occupational Therapy Manager. Coordination of the team will be agreed following the appointment of the successful candidates and will likely be a rotating role. Please Note: There may be opportunities for a full-time Senior OT post i.e. 0.5 WTE on the Complex Behaviour Support Team and 0.5 WTE as a Senior OT on a SMH CDNT. The National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in Dun Laoghaire is the national tertiary referral centre for Ireland providing complex specialist rehabilitation services to adult and paediatric patients from all parts of Ireland in a range of CARF-accredited in-patient, out-patient and community programmes. Clinical Nurse Manager Enhanced Care Health Assistant, Ordinator
Purpose of the Role : Enhanced Care refers to the need for additional or extraordinary care, beyond what is provided for within average daily staffing levels. The role of the Enhanced Care CNM is to establish, manage and implement the development of the Enhanced Care programme across CHI. The Enhanced Care CNM3 will also assist with the end-to-end process of all recruitment and interviews of all HCAs coming into CHI. They will liaise closely with ward managers and HCAs in this respect. The successful candidate will be required to lead the enhanced care programme across CHI. The post holder will develop, plan and co-ordinate in collaboration with the responsible clinical teams in conjunction with the CCNE a training and development programme for enhanced carers and staff across CHI. Essential Criteria: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc (a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i) Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered. And (ii) Have at least 5 years post registration fulltime experience (or an aggregate of 5 years post registration full time experience) of which 2 years (or an aggregate of 2 years post registration full time experience) must be in the speciality or related area.
