Complex Behaviour Support Team Pilot Project Children’s and Young Persons Services Senior Occupational Therapist 0.5 WTE (Permanent) St. Michaels House currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join us in providing services to children with complex needs arising from a disability and their families under the remit of a Complex Behaviours Support Team. Theses posts are aligned to the Kilbarrack CDNT permanently, and the Complex Behaviour Support Team will be a pilot project. There is an existing Senior Psychologist assigned to this team and a 0.5 SLT is being recruited also. The OT, SLT and Psychologist will work collaboratively. This is a service development opportunity for the successful candidates to be involved in clinical audit and research and the establishment of evidence informed pathways for service delivery. The Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) provide a quality evidence-based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family-centred practice. The team will work across the 4 St. Michael’s House Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs): Ballymun, Coastal, Coolock and Kilbarrack with a base in the Kilbarrack CDNT (Grattan House, Northern Cross). Line Management will be by the Children’s Disability Network Manager with clinical supervision provided by the Occupational Therapy Manager. Coordination of the team will be agreed following the appointment of the successful candidates and will likely be a rotating role. Please Note: There may be opportunities for a full-time Senior OT post i.e. 0.5 WTE on the Complex Behaviour Support Team and 0.5 WTE as a Senior OT on a SMH CDNT.
