Assistant Staff Officer
The Housing Agency is seeking to fill an Assistant Staff Officer – Grade 4 vacancy on a permanent basis in its IT Team. This post is based in our offices in Dublin 2. The Housing Agency operates a Blended Working Policy. Main Duties • Promote the effective use of ICT to support the business of the organisation. • Provide frontline IT support and training to members of the organisation – explaining complex technical information to a non-technical audience. • Support end users to maximise their use of the systems in place in the organisation. • Communicate effectively and confidently with end users and senior management. • Assist in managing the helpdesk tickets – track and update relevant service requests. • Ensure that ICT issues are resolved or escalated to the proper resources to resolve in a timely manner with minimum disruption to operational business areas. • Assist in the development and rollout of ICT policies as required; ensuring that all IT security policies and procedures are adhered to. • Assist to ensure that all ICT security policies and procedures are followed, maintained, and implemented correctly on servers and systems. • Monitor backup and replication. • Install and upgrade desktops, laptops, network printers, and IoT devices. • Asset tagging. • Assist in ensuring that the organisation operates the best security practices such as 2FA, digital signing, device encryption, mobile device management, systems and networking monitoring, firewall, and VPN management. Personal/Educational Requirements • A minimum of one year’s relevant experience in an IT role and/or have a relevant IT qualification.
