Background The Systems Development function of TII’s IT department, designs, implements and maintains software systems for TII. Most of these systems are line-of-business Web Applications. Together they enable the work of TII to be carried out efficiently, effectively and consistently. The Systems Development team works with a broad range of stakeholders within TII, Local Authorities, other Public Bodies and Government Departments, as well as an array of private sector partners to deliver digital solutions in support of TII’s mission. The team is comprised of a mix of permanent and contracted software engineers and developers and all are based in TII headquarters in Dublin. The team also provides a data engineering function for the organisation which is primarily aimed at gathering and organising TII’s numerous and varied datasets in our Data Lake and building processing pipelines for them. Senior Software Engineer is a new role intended to assist the IT Systems Development Manager in delivering the Systems Development programme of work, to carry out full-stack development work and to offer guidance to other members of the team.
