Job Summary Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board is a statutory local education authority operating under the terms of the Education and Training Boards Act 2013. The ETB provides mainstream educational programmes to schools and colleges as well as providing a wide range of adult and community programmes. The ETB’s educational remit extends from Balbriggan in the north of the county to Lucan in the west, to Dun Laoghaire in the south. Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB) serves the three county council areas of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, South Dublin and Fingal and a population of 862,468 people. The administrative area covered by Dublin and Dún Laoghaire ETB reaches from Balbriggan in north County Dublin, to Dún Laoghaire in south County Dublin and Lucan in west County Dublin. As a statutory body, DDLETB has responsibility for a wide and varied suite of education and training services including Primary, Post Primary, Further Education and Training (FET) settings and Youth Services. Salary Scale €38,217 p.a. - €51,211 Long service Increment 1, €52,767 after three years satisfactory service at the maximum. Long Service Increment 2, €54,367 after three years satisfactory service at LSI 1 New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of current experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies. Annual Leave 23 working days per annum (pro-rata). Working Week 35 hours per week (exclusive of one hour lunch) Probation In accordance with S.I. No. 686/2022 - European Union (Transparent and Predictable Working Conditions) Regulations 2022, the period of probation shall not exceed 12 months. What you'll do Compliance • Support the Director of Legal & Compliance in the development of schedule of responsibilities to ensure compliant internal and external corporate governance• Audit the compliance monitoring system to ensure compliance• Work with our international colleagues to manage compliance tasks Contract Law • Draft, review, advise on and administer a broad range of standard and non-standard contracts• Support contract negotiations as well as contract creation and checking• Create sample contracts for various contractual scenarios and business functions• Interdepartmental coordination of contract administration incl. recording of contracts on the company’s contract management database Company Law • Administer, maintain, review and update relevant registrations and records applicable to Lidl under company law Data Protection • Support the Data Protection team in advices and projects relating to data protection matters affecting the business General Legal Services • Provide timely, sound legal advice to various business units on a range of legal queries including but not limited to competition law, advertising law, commercial property law, trademark law, H&S and employment law, anti-corruption/anti-bribery legislation• Monitor legislative changes and relevant case law and update affected business areas on these changes and developments• Liaise with external legal advisers and legal firms. A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Details of Service The person appointed to this post will work within the Integrated Services Directorate; working as part of multi-disciplinary teams delivering a coordinated approach to client care. The Public Dental Service provides oral health care for patients eligible for dental services which the Health Services Executive is, or may be, under obligation to provide. A preventative evidence based approach is the fundamental and distinctive character of the public dental service. A dental service is also provided for patients admitted to any institution maintained by the HSE and for those children in the care of the H.S.E. If required an emergency dental service is also provided. Future developments for the service will include enhanced care for Special Needs Groups and Preventative programs. The team structure involves assisting the Principal Dental Surgeon in the general guidance of Clinical Dental Surgeons, Grade 1 and the direct supervision as required of any existing auxiliary dental staff. The service is provided within the Primary Community and Continuing Care Area.
