We are looking for highly motivated and responsible Cleaner with a good level of both written and spoken English. Good communication skills with residents, management and staff. Will need to work as part of a team Location: Horizon House, Gardiner Street Dublin 1 Responsibilities Clean and tidy Centre, internally and externally. Cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms Management of rubbish and waste within the Centre Dust, sweep and wash corridors on rotation. Assist with the clearing and cleaning of rooms Welcome and check the ID of all inspectors and official visitors to the centre ensuring that they sign the visitors’ book. Alert management when inspectors announce themselves. Undertake cleaning duties and deep cleaning duties on a rotational basis Deal immediately with incidents, and where necessary call 999 for emergency services (gardai or ambulance or fire services) or back up. Report immediately to the manager on call. Be vigilant to the possibility, that we may have trespassers or other untoward behaviour on the grounds at times, and in such a case, note the time of the intrusion, and call Gardai. Where possible note all numbers of any strange vehicles in the communication/handover book. Report all use of fire equipment, fire alarms going off, electricity or fire outage, and report to management. Assist in the induction of new staff at the manager’s request. Have a good knowledge/ understanding of the Irish Language. Roles and Responsibilities to include: Minimum Level 5 childcare qualification or equivalent required. 15 hours per week. Friendly, energetic Afterschool Practitioners are required for an Afterschool Club in a Gaelscoil. Applicants must have basic spoken Irish and be willing to improve. Term time work with the option to run camps during midterm breaks, Easter and Summer. Hours: 1.10pm -4.30pm per day. This role involves working with children aged 4 - 12 years. Duties include - homework supervision, preparing and serving a light tea, and planning and carrying out activities with the children.
