Residential Respite Respite is an essential factor in delivering high quality service provision for children and adults living at home, it gives both them and their families a much-needed break from the rhythms of their everyday environment. The rationale for respite care has moved from maintaining carers in their roles towards improving their caring capacity and providing benefits for service users in areas of personal development, promoting independence and social inclusion.
