Accounts Assistant ROLE AND PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Providing support and assistance with developing and delivery of an effective Accounts Function. Ensure alignment of all Account Payable/Receivable Functions throughout Connacht Rugby's Departments. REPORTING Operational & Functional: Head of Finance, Connacht Rugby KEY QUALITIES Essential: An undergraduate degree in Finance or a Business/Economics post-graduate qualification. Experience of developing and implementing evidence-based innovative ideas and putting them into practice, including working in an applied and integrated multi-disciplinary manner. The ability to build relationships across departments. Minimum of 5 years working in an Accounts Administration Role. Have a drive to develop, learn and are curious by nature. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; an effective and confident communicator. Good IT (esp Excel), problem-solving and organisational skills. Full driving licence and access to a car. Eligibility to work in the EU Desirable: Experience in Pegasus Opera & Brightpay is an advantage but not essential. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Completion of administration tasks in the finance department with particular emphasis on accounts payable and accounts receivable. Management of creditors ledgers to include processing of all purchase invoices and purchase orders and the processing of the monthly payment process. Management of the debtors ledger to include issuing of all sales invoices & to ensure the collection of same within agreed timeframes. Dealing with supplier, customers and staff queries in relation to any queries that arise. Completion of weekly bank reconciliations. Processing of monthly payroll Ad Hoc assistance with account analysis, general administration and support to the Assistant Financial Controller and the Head of Finance. WORKING PATTERN The successful candidate will be expected to work appropriate hours in order to fully carry out their responsibilities.
