This position is funded by the Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) programme under the HI- ECOWIRE project (High Quality eco-efficient Magnet Wire: Alternative Technology to produce insulated wire for motor applications, HI-ECOWIRE webpage), whose aim is to develop a more environmental friendly insulated magnet wire for motor applications. Magnet wire (approx. annual production of 120 000 tons in NWE) is used for transformers and electric motors. Materials technologies are facing increasing environmental challenges, productivity and competitiveness requiring a review of their production methods. Quality Assurance Officer, Corrib Research Centre & Core Lab, Grade Specific Purpose Contract, FTE
Applications are invited for an appointment as Quality Assurance Officer at CORRIB Research Centre & Core Lab, NUI Galway. The CORRIB research centres’ main focus is applied clinical translational research and the unit is a centre of excellence for cardiovascular clinical research and imaging techniques. The purpose of this role is to lead the quality assurance processes required to verify that the rights and well-being of trial participants are protected and that the integrity of the trial data is upheld. The role will be working within a highly qualified team to ensure quality assurance vendor qualifications in the running of Clinical Research Trials in the CORRIB Research Centre for Advanced Imaging and Core laboratory. They will provide Quality Assurance and Computer System Validation (CSV) expertise to the CORRIB Research Centre for Advanced Imaging and Core laboratory. The is achieved by maintaining the following key processes/areas: Quality system processes, Regulatory compliance, Document Control, Training, CAPA management, vendor qualifications and Computer System Validation Processes for the unit. The post-holder will report directly to the CORRIB Core Lab Directors, working closely with the Clinical Trials Programme Manager and Clinical Operations Lead. The position is a full-time, specific purpose contract. This position is within the School of Education at the National University of Ireland Galway. i2i connects 5 HEIs, 3 Intermediary Organisations and 7 Associated Partners in 5 entrepreneurial ecosystems: Ireland, Spain, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Greece. The overall vision and ambition of the i2i consortium is to address its capacity and capability to foster entrepreneurial thinking, actions, and institutions, develop entrepreneurship capital and aptitude for driving innovation, building on the strengths and weaknesses of each partner identified through Heinnovate assessment of practices. These priorities are captured through i2i objectives: Build the capacity of HEI staff to deliver entrepreneurial education and learning through upskilling and training, while supporting the development of effective governance to promote the uptake of best entrepreneurial knowledge and practices.
