Role: Behaviour Therapist – Person Centred Wing Location: The successful candidate will have the choice of working in Tullamore, Mullingar or Monasterevin Tenure: Permanent (Full-time) - 78 hours per fortnight The successful candidate will become a key member of an evolving psychological services team led by the Principal Psychology Manager. The post will involve close collaborative working with the Senior Psychologist. The post holder will contribute to developing interdisciplinary supports for people in receipt of services from the clinical supports team in Laois/Offaly/Longford/Meath and Westmeath. The post holder will provide psychological supports to a broad range of individuals with intellectual disabilities, Autism and mental health concerns. The office base is negotiable - Tullamore, Mullingar or Monasterevin. This is an exciting new service development within the Muiriosa Foundation. We are establishing an interdisciplinary team to provide psychological supports to the Person Centred Wing. The person appointed will work as part of the psychology team and in close collaboration with other clinicians in providing psychological assessment, formulation and a range of interventions to supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and Autistic adults with high support needs. The Muiriosa Foundation promotes a human rights-based approach. Behaviour Therapists develop evidence-informed, and values led, interventions collaboratively with the person supported under the supervision of Senior Psychologists. Behaviour therapists base Interventions on a comprehensive assessment of each person’s strengths, needs and within the context of their environment.
