Motor Mechanics Apprenticeship
We're now looking for an eager Apprentice Mechanic to join our team at Kellys Toyota, Letterkenny. The successful apprentice technician candidate will have an ambition to qualify as a Motor Technician and to complete their Motor Mechanic apprenticeship with Kellys Toyota in conjunction with SOLAS. This involves on and off the job training. On successful completion of this apprenticeship, the apprentice is awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Motor Mechanics. Specific Toyota Manufacturer training programmes will be provided as well as on the job and in-house training. Some areas of responsibility include: - To service and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer requirements - To report to the workshop controller on vehicle requirements Experience/Requirements: - Ability to work as a team player with a high quality of work. - Full driving licence - Eagerness & willingness to learn - Positive attitude coupled with strong work ethic Training: - SOLAS on the job and off the job training via apprenticeship program - Toyota specific manufacturer training provided
M A F Apprenticeship
G&G Engineering est. 1984 is a family run SME supplying a bespoke contract manufacturing service, which entails Precision metal stampings, Plastic injection moulding and Automated assemblies. The successful candidate will be working within all aspects of G&G to gain a general knowledge of the function of each process while focusing in Maintenance and high precision machining within G&G’s Toolroom/ Maintenance department. Over their 4 year apprenticeship they will gain a very broad ranging knowledge of all aspects of in-house maintenance of equipment and bench fitting as well as touching into some automation projects. The candidate must have attention to detail, an interest in working with metal and their hands, as well as the ability to work in a team and independently. A candidate must be a minimum of over the age of 16 and have passed their junior certificate to be able to become an apprentice. It would be an advantage if you did Technical graphics, Metalwork, Engineering prior, though this is not essential.

Holbein Carpentry & Joinery are happy to announce that we are now hiring in the following position: Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner The suitable candidate, ideally located between Killarney and Macroom, will be training one to one with our On-Site Fitting Foreman to fit on residential and commercial sites. Candidates will partake in fitting of our various bespoke work such as stairs, kitchens, windows, Doors etc… All our products are manufactured in our workshop and your responsibilities will be unloading these products on delivery to site, fitting according to technical drawings and reporting back to the Fitting Foreman. The ideal candidate must have his/her own transport to travel to sites based in the Kerry and Cork area. We are looking for a candidate with a positive and welcoming attitude, eager to learn and work and being part of a very professional skilled team. The successful candidate must: • Be a 1st year apprentice • Be fluent in English both verbally and written • Have a leaving cert showing strong results in Math • Have a full clean driving license, Manual Handling training and Safe Pass Salary is depending on experience level. We are looking for candidates who are innovative, diligent, ambitious, ability to learn on the job, and have very good communication skills. ** JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES** • Machine building and mechanical assembly • Machine high quality precision tooling parts according to engineering drawings provided • Interpreting technical assembly drawings and equipment manuals • Dismantling, repair/rework and fitting of new parts when performing maintenance • Installation of production equipment • Condition monitoring using modern maintenance techniques • Report writing of completed repairs • Commisioning machines/equipment on our customers site from time to time (Ireland and abroad) **REQUIREMENTS** • Comfortable to work individually or as part of a team • Great communication skills: Working closely with the assembly supervisor and the project team • Excellent fault-finding and problem solving skills • Working knowledge and skills in assembly and repairs of mechanical systems such as bearings, gears, belts & pulleys etc. • Experience in pneumatics would be an advantage • To be fully competent with a variety workshop machines such as lathes, manual milling machine, surface grinders, etc. • Attention to detail is essential • A passion/strong interest in engineering is essential
