The Central Bank of Ireland serves the public interest by safeguarding monetary and financial stability and by working to ensure that the financial system operates in the best interests of consumers and the wider economy .The Central Bank seeks researchers for a duration of up to 11 months under its Economics Internship Programme, though can support a shorter internship where applicable. This role is aligned with the Bank Executive grade and the BEX salary scale, successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the scale which is currently €38,208 per annum. There are currently 5 internships available across the Irish Economic Analysis Division, Monetary Policy Division, International Finance Division, Macro-Financial Division and the Digital Euro Unit in our Economics and Statistics Directorate, Financial Stability Directorate and the Financial Operations Directorate, respectively. These business areas provide opportunities to conduct high-quality research to support policy discussions and risk assessments within the Central Bank.
