The role is open to first year apprentices. In your role as apprentice you will: • Gain knowledge, experience and support while learning to install, maintain and repair compressed air plant, Garage Equipment and ancillary equipment within customer sites while working alongside qualified and competent persons. • Learn how to carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules • Deal with reactive maintenance calls as required and learn valuable on the job experience. • Learn how to Identify and implement PM improvements on equipment • become familiar with the process of Maintaining computerised and manual records/reports and liaise with service department personnel / suppliers and customers alike Requirements: • Experience in an MAMF role would be beneficial • Basic Electrical Experience would be beneficial • Hands on approach to solving problems, learning on the job is a must • Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills • Ability to work as part of a team • Be flexible in terms of operational requirements and customer demands be willing to travel to other sites as part of reactive maintenance • Be prepared to work flexible patterns as and when required by reactive maintenance schedule

Location: You will be based in the Council Offices at Cloonavin, 66 Portstewart Road, Coleraine, BT52 1EY however, when required you will be asked to work flexibly throughout the Council areas, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively and in order to respond to service priorities and to facilitate professional development. Responsible for: The following functions and services, in accordance with the organisational structure and the staff employed to deliver these services. • Corporate Communications and Marketing support • Administrative support to the Corporate Communications and Marketing section Work pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday By its nature the post will require flexible working, for example, work outside normal office hours, including evening meetings and weekends as required. Tenure: This is a permanent post. Main Purpose of Post 1. Provide support to the Senior Corporate Communications and Marketing Officer to ensure the coordinated provision of a modern and responsive Corporate Communications and Marketing service. 2. Support the implementation of the Corporate Communications and Marketing Strategic Plan for Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. 3. Support the department with all communications and marketing campaigns aligned to the Council’s Communications Strategy. 4. Support the Council Press Office. 5. Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements. 6. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Corporate Communications 1. Support the Corporate Communications and Marketing team contributing to the work of the Communications Working Group. 2. Provide advice and assistance to staff in relation to production of communications collateral, in accordance with Communications Protocols and Corporate Brand Guidelines. 3. Produce and design engaging and exciting video content and other collateral such as brand templates for communications and marketing activity. 4. Produce content for promotional material, staff and citizens' newsletters, e-newsletters and the corporate website. Co-ordinate both internally and externally to deliver content / campaigns. 5. Distribute communications collateral within required timescales and monitor impact using Council’s media monitoring service. 6. Provide support with consultation and engagement exercises with staff groups, the wider community, users of civic facilities and key stakeholders, in relation to user feedback as directed by the Democratic and Central Services Manager. Compile reports as required. 7. Assist and support all communications activities during Council elections. Media and Marketing 8. Act as the first point of contact for media and enquiries, inform the department lead, source relevant information and draft responses for approval by senior officers. 9. Assist in the monitoring of media activities and administer the Council’s media monitoring services. 10. Support the tracking of social media activity and compilation of relevant engagement reports. 11. Maintain effective working relationships with the media to maximise a positive image of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. 12. Provide administrative support to the Press Office, including drafting public notices, advertisements and press releases. Website, Digital Communications, Brand Awareness and Marketing 13. Responsible for regular publishing and scheduling of Council’s corporate website as well as Council’s social media channels. 14. Coordinate and create engaging social media communications / video content within designated timeframes. Arrange photocalls, create video content and online collateral, including sourcing people, props and location, prepare captions and distribute relevant communications to media and stakeholders. 15. Create and publish public notices. 16. Support for the delivery of corporate marketing events, including set-up, venue booking, contacting relevant representatives, preparation of materials, equipment and attending events, if required. 17. Support the Communications and Marketing team with the issuing of media invites to Council, Corporate and Civic events. 18. Monitor and maintain a stock of promotional/exhibition materials and assist with the preparation of exhibitions and literature as required. Administration 19. Process, code, and prepare invoices for approval, including raising and managing purchase orders. 20. Arrange meetings and appointments, to include room booking, catering, preparing agenda/documentation, taking minutes and actioning correspondence. 21. Provide emergency corporate communications coverage on an ‘on-call' basis. General 1. By its nature the post will require flexible working to meet the needs of the service. Attend meetings of the Council and any relevant working groups and prepare and present reports as required. 2. Act in accordance with the Code of Conduct for local Government employees. 3.
