Ref 25-372-TL-CROFT-WEB Role Team Leader Location Croft Communities Residential Services, Bangor, BT20 4UR Salary £14.18 per hour Hours 36 hours per week The Role Croft Communities Residential Services in Bangor Co. Down, is made up of a residential home, registered with RQIA to provide services for 9 adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs, as well as a 7 bedded Respite Unit through which adults with learning disabilities can come and stay with us for a break. This service provides an opportunity for the main carers to get a break from caring duties and enables them to refresh and to be able to continue their caring role. As part of the caring team, you will help create and maintain a caring and safe environment where the personal care and social needs of the residents are fulfilled. They will support the Registered Manager to develop and implement personalised care plans and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs. They will support the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of quality care. The role requires participation in the delivery of person-centred care, including personal care and promotion of a team approach at all times with positive and constructive working relationships for the benefit of the service user. They will also support with the management of budgets and resources effectively. They will mentor and supervise the team of care assistants. Youth Officer

The Service The Peace of Mind project is a cross community/cross border initiative to address the significant mental health challenges young people including those with a disability, brain injury and autism. The project will support disabled young people in school or youth and community groups to develop strategies, skills and strength, leading to positive mental health and wellbeing. PoM is a fun, engaging, project supporting disabled children and teenagers aged 9-25. The project will provide opportunities to participate in a group-based programme, improve social connections and health & wellbeing. The PoM project is supported by the European Union’s PEACEPLUS Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The Role The PoM Youth Officer is responsible for the promotion and inclusion of children and young people with disabilities, autism and brain injury in a personal development project, developing their social and emotional skills to enable them to participate in their local community. They will deliver a mental health personal development programme, develop young peer mentors and facilitate the promotion of Disability & Inclusion Training to local stakeholders, funders and the wider community. They will work in line with quality standards and ensure the project provides a meaningful, fun, supportive and inclusive place for our young people to become motivated and reach their full potential. To deliver in-house specialist training and rehabilitation sessions. To support participants to engage in a Social Enterprise project To source external social inclusion activities that lead to sustainable outcomes.
