The vision of the service is to support people with intellectual disabilities to achieve a full and valued life in their local community. Our aim is to provide a quality service that promotes the independence and potential of each individual we support at all stages of their lives. As our service numbers increase we are looking to expand our service Management Team. The Team Manager will have Person in Charge (PIC) responsibility for one Designated Centre. The Role: The Team Manager will provide leadership and direction for the teams, actively coordinating the teams to ensure the development of person-centred services. The Team Manager will work with and support the staff teams and be responsible for the overall operational management of the specified locations of the service. With Person in Charge responsibilities, the Team Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the service meets the regulations as laid out in the Health Act 2007. The successful candidates will work closely with the Service Coordinator/ Area Manager to ensure that services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner within the agreed budget, and will be proactive members of the Clarin Services management team. Details of Service Cork University Hospital (CUH) has approximately 800 beds and this will increase further to 1,000 beds on completion of the transfer of additional services to the CUH campus. CUH currently employs approximately 4,571 (WTE) staff of multiple professions and is the primary teaching hospital for the Faculty of Health and Science in University College Cork (UCC). UCC is the Academic partner of the South/South West Hospital Group. CUH has very strong relationships with each of the six schools within the Science Faculty of UCC and this is a key area for future development to maximise the opportunities for both the service and academia. CUH is a recommended Major Trauma Centre for the Republic of Ireland due to the wide range of specialties delivered by the hospital – including Neurosciences, Cardiac Services, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Renal, Internal Medicine, Vascular, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Maxillary-Facial, Paediatrics, Intensive Care, Oncology, Haematology, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Neonatology and Emergency Medicine. CUH is the tertiary referral centre for the HSE Southern area, and the supra regional area of Limerick, Clare, Tipperary, Waterford and Kilkenny. Pre-Admission Assessment Clinic (PAAC) The PAAC is a Consultant Anaesthetist led clinic driven by evidence-based policies and protocols, including policies on bridging for patients on anticoagulation, consent, safe site surgery, and policies for the pre-operative assessment of adult patients aged 16 years and above. The clinic accepts referrals from neurosurgery, general surgery, vascular, colorectal, urology, plastics, breast and orthopaedic specialties and occasionally from dental. The role of the CNM2 PAAC is to evaluate patient readiness for anaesthesia and surgery. The post holder will liaise with other services for safe admission of patients, including G.P. and all other disciplines, where applicable. The post holder will optimise patients’ health prior to surgery, identify vulnerable and high-risk patients, and commence discharge planning and estimate length of stay. The Role This is an exciting role to join a hard-working and professional Commercial team within a fast-paced environment. This position has accountability for leading and directing account management and client relationships across UK and the group where the need arises.
