Reporting to the National Head of HR and accountable to Corlann Limerick's Director of Services the Head of Human Resources will be responsible for the Human Resources Function of Corlann Limerick, the leadership of this function and the management of the staff members that comprise this function. The post holder will be responsible for the distribution and implementation of HR and related policies to ensure that Corlann Limerick complies with National Corlann Policies and procedures, all statutory employment and associated law, both National and European. The post holder must ensure value for money at all times. He/she will be responsible for managing all HR related activities in Corlann Limerick and will participate in and lead, as appropriate, organisational change programmes. The person appointed should have the ability to participate proactively as a member of a team and contribute positively to the ongoing development of effective teamwork. The post holder will also form part of the wider People Team at Corlann and will from time to time take part and/or lead national projects or groups. Principle duties include: · Manage, co-ordinate and deliver Corlann Limerick Human Resources Function and Services. · To act as a trusted and strategic adviser to the services, partnering with the Senior Management/Leadership team to improve organisation and operational performance by delivering key strategic business plans and initiatives. · To work, in consultation with the National Head of Human Resources and the HR Team, in developing and implementing the strategic direction of HR in Corlann. · Provide strategic HR direction to Corlann Limerick Director of Services and Management Team in the context of the overall national HR strategy. · Actively participate in and promote the management of change within the organisation, driving a culture of empowerment and accountability and supporting Corlann Limerick Senior Management Team to effect and implement strategies for change. · To develop and implement, under the Direction of the National Head of Human Resources, national policies and guidelines in relation to HRM ensuring they are fully compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and codes of practice / conduct. · To develop and implement, under the Direction of the National Head of Human Resources, an overall talent management strategy, including performance management and development, talent management, workforce planning, training and development, succession planning and the recruitment and selection process. · As part of the HR Team to review current recruitment and selection processes, including document templates and job descriptions in order to develop and manage recruitment and selection nationally. · As part of the HR Team to review current line management training and the role of managers in monitoring and developing staff. · Manage and support Corlann Limerick HR staff in their roles including continuing professional development. · Provide management and oversight of the organisation’s Dignity at Work policy and its implementation. · Provide management and oversight of the organisation’s Attendance Management policy and the management of absenteeism. · Provide management and oversight of other key policy areas including Grievance and Disciplinary, Trust in Care, Employee Vetting etc. within Corlann Limerick · Enhance as appropriate the HRM operating model, monitoring HRM service delivery in Corlann Limerick and providing insightful recommendation on service delivery improvements · Develop, monitor and report on key performance indicators in consultation with the National Head of Human Resources and the HR Team · Liaise with the HSE HRM and other statutory agencies and bodies as appropriate to establish contacts and keep abreast of emerging policy and compliance requirements · On behalf of Corlann Limerick, coordinate engagement with other agencies in relation to HRM matters. · Liaise with relevant Trade Unions, IBEC, and other appropriate bodies on matters which impact on Corlann Limerick. Ensure that Corlann Limerick mirror the national position and deal with Industrial Relations issues on a national scale · Ensure the effectiveness of the Employee Assistance Services and review as appropriate · Promote a positive Employee Relations philosophy throughout Corlann Limerick · In consultation with the National Head of Human Resources and the HR Team review and develop new policies and procedures relating to HR for Corlann · In consultation with the National Head of Human Resources and the HR Team review existing HR services, develop and implement plans for centralised and more efficient HR services · Ensure transactional HRM services within Corlann are delivered in an efficient and effective manner · Coordinate the sharing of information, as appropriate, throughout the Services · Ensure to comply with all HIQA requirements in relation to HRM · Be responsible for and manage the National HRM budget and any staff working in Corlann Limerick HR function · Carry out any further appropriate tasks that may be assigned him/her INDLP

The Role: This post is based in County Galway and the successful candidate will provide multidisciplinary services to adults with an intellectual disability. The successful candidate will be required to work within a dynamic team environment using a person-centered philosophy. Reporting/Responsible to: Physiotherapy Manager Qualifications: The successful candidate must be registered with CORU. They must be eligible for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists or hold an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health & Children. Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience which includes supporting adults with an intellectual disability. Skills: Candidates must demonstrate competency in applying theory, knowledge and skills in physiotherapy within the service area of adults and intellectual disability. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. It is critical that the selected candidate work effectively within a dynamic team environment using a person centered philosophy. Candidates are expected to work within their professional code of ethics at all times. Corlann have a strong commitment to on-going professional development. Specific training and continuous professional development relevant to our service provision are encouraged and supported. The Health Service is undergoing ongoing transformation and therefore it is critical that a flexible attitude to changing environments and work requirements is held by the successful candidate. A full clean driving licence and use of a car is an essential requirement of the post. Working Hours: 70 hours per fortnight (35 hours per week). Contracted hours are liable to change between the hours of 8am– 8pm as future service needs require. The Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Annual Leave: 29 days per annum Remuneration: Department of Health Physiotherapist, Senior Salary scale (01/02/2026) is € 64,551 x 8 increments - € 76,007 gross basic per annum Tenure: This position is permanent full-time and pensionable. Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. The probation period may be extended at the Employer’s discretion. Travel: The person appointed must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from Insurers in favour of the employer. Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid in respect of travel necessarily performed in the discharge of duty.
