Director Of Client Engagement
The Director of Client Engagement is a senior strategic leader responsible for driving sustainable tourism growth through business development, experience enhancement, and industry competitiveness. The role has primary accountability for all industry-facing functions at TNI, acting as a trusted partner to tourism businesses and stakeholders across Northern Ireland. Through strong client engagement, commercial insight, and sector leadership, the Director will stimulate innovation, improve quality and productivity, and ensure Northern Ireland’s tourism offer competes effectively at a regional and international level. Alongside direct business engagement, the Job Holder is required to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and organisations which form the Northern Ireland tourism ecosystem including Government Departments and their Agencies, local government and third sector organisations. The job holder will oversee the support services provided to businesses within the tourism sector through Tourism Northern Ireland’s Tourism Enterprise Development Programme and an Experience Development Programme through a key account management approach. The role also includes responsibility for the co-ordination of work related to the creation and delivery of tourism events within Northern Ireland and in doing so securing the region’s reputation as a world class destination for tourism events. The post holder will also oversee Tourism NI’s statutory responsibility to certify tourism accommodation and Northern Ireland’s quality assurance (star grading) schemes. A key part of this role will be to lead the development of a client engagement framework, designed to ensure every tourism partner—large or small—receives the right guidance at the right time. Ø A qualification in management is desirable. Ø The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience of working with people with an intellectual disability. Working Hours: Contracted hours will be based on a 7-day roster, with flexible shift patterns. It is envisaged that this post will primarily be Monday to Friday with contracted hours of work liable to change between the hours of 8am – 8pm. There will be a requirement to work one weekend every three weeks, depending in service needs. The contracted hours will depend on the grade of the successful candidate i.e. 78 hours a fortnight (SCL grade) 75 hours a fortnight (CNM1 grade). In addition, a sleep-in and/or night duty commitment may be a requirement of the post for which the appropriate allowance will be paid. An ‘On Call’ commitment may be required and flexibility around this will be expected in order to meet service needs. The Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual Annual Leave: Leave will be granted according to the agreed leave assigned to the grade of the successful candidates i.e. Social Care Leader or CNM1. It will provide co-ordinated multiple discipline assessment and interdisciplinary weight management for eligible children and adolescents with onward referral to specialist ambulatory paediatric care for management of co-morbidities as necessary. The service is aligned to Level 1b of Model of Care for Management of Overweight and Obesity (Children & Young People) The service functions on a hub and spoke model, with the team co-located and delivering clinics and services in communities responsive to service user needs. The Weight Management Service for Children and Young People support training and capacity building across primary care services for early identification and intervention for weight management. Weight Management Service for Children and Young People staff will work with the HSE Obesity Clinical Programme to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a standardised, evidence-based model of service delivery.
