In this capacity, the postholder will provide effective management to their section(s) ensuring service excellence and value for money. The postholder will support the Head of Capital Projects to create a high performing culture through their contribution to the development and delivery of the key objectives of the Directorate and Department. They will support transformational change within the Capital Projects Section ensuring and implementing integration of new and current functions and responsibilities. They will assist in the delivery of high quality services across the Capital Projects Section by using performance management to drive continuous improvement and by effectively using Council’s resources. Hours of work  36 hours per week. Duration of Appointment Permanent. Work Pattern Flexi 36 hours Monday to Friday. Hours of work are kept under review and may change in order to meet operational requirements, providing requisite notice. Location Location is Downshire Civic Centre, Downpatrick. Whilst the current vacant post is based in Downpatrick, suitable candidates who are placed on a reserve list may be offered a similar post in other Council locations. The post holder may be required to transfer to other locations in accordance with any requirements stated in the Job Description, any reviews of service delivery or other requirements as may arise from time to time.
