Join us as a Service Layer Network Engineer: We are growing the Technical Delivery Team to support the evolution of the Network and incremental business demand in areas such as 4G and 5G Data, VoLTE, VoWiFi and Messaging. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Service Layer team and work on exciting new technologies as we evolve our network with the introduction of 5GSA to introduce new data services. This position resides in the Service Layer Network Design team; a team which is accountable for ensuring the delivery of all designs for Policy, Signalling, Entitlement, Steering of Roaming & Messaging. Rating (i.e., NG-IN, CGW, CHF) Policy (i.e., PCRF, PCF, BSF) Signalling (i.e., DRA, DEA, SCP, SEPP) Steering of Roaming (SoR) & Advice of Charge (AoC) Messaging (i.e., SMSC, IP-SM-GW, MMSC, Voicemail) Entitlement & Orchestration of eSIM (i.e., Primary, Secondary, ODA, ODT) 5GSA Service Registry (i.e. NRF) The role will report into the Head of Network Solutions & Architecture and will support the team in performing vendor management for any outsourced design services, ensuring wrap-around design continuity towards the Voice & Data Core, RAN, Transmission, IP, IT, and Service Delivery, as well as towards Test and Operations for both strategic and development change for the Service Layer Networks. Your role will contribute to all aspects of the development of the future network (design/add, change and/or increase the networks services and resources for capacity, features and functionality). Whilst you will act as a point of technical accountability, you will work with functional stakeholders to ensure that the right responsibility levels are established - working to exercise influence without direct authority. Your approach will be customer focused and aligned to the commercial goals of the business. You will also drive our values in day to day technical and operational decision making. You will be the technical authority for the Service Layer and responsible for the design and technical delivery in this space required to support the Voice, Data & Messaging services on our Network. All of our clinicians share the same scope of practice to support the goals of our young people in a collaborative, respectful, and evidence-informed manner while drawing on their own unique training, experience, and skills. Additionally, clinicians are involved in health promotion, youth engagement, service development, and advocacy. Our clinicians benefit from frequent and supportive clinical supervision alongside a comprehensive programme of continuing professional development.
