About the post: To provide on-going support across the HR function, primarily focusing on execution of monthly payroll administration and employee set–up and record management, in a professional, efficient and friendly manner. It is a fundamental requirement of the role that the candidate has great attention to detail, an ability to work autonomously and can demonstrate they can meet deadlines. Job Responsibilities • First point of contact for HR administrative queries and RCSI policies and procedures, escalating more complex issues to our HR Partner unit. • Contract generation and administration for all staff of the university. Ensuring personnel records are up to date and stored securely, in line with GDPR requirements. • Maintain and ensure efficient data entry of all relevant personnel records on the Human Resources Information System (CoreHR) and assist in annual upgrades to the system. • Ensure that correct starters, leavers and employment change data is produced for each payroll process and ensure accurate execution of RCSI’s monthly payroll for > 1,000 employees. • Maintaining and updating personnel files and HR systems incl. time and attendance administration system (i.e. Annual, Sick, Maternity and other leave records for all employees). • Assist in the documentation and maintenance of a suite of standard operation procedures in relation to all aspects of the monthly payroll execution. • Preparing routine and ad hoc reports on contract management, time and attendance and other areas of HR administration. • Undertake other projects and duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned to you from time to time. • Other general HR administration and related duties. Knowledge & Experience – (Essential): • Have completed Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or be undertaking a HR qualification and/or CIPD certification, or other relevant equivalent • Relevant experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a HR or people focused setting • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential. • Proven administrative experience with strong computer proficiency, including skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), managing data, creating reports, and supporting operational efficiency through effective use of digital tools and systems. • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong communication and interpersonal skills. • High level of organisational skills with a proven ability to work in a dynamic, detail orientated environment • Ability to work with multiple priorities and to meet challenging deadlines. • Conscientious approach to work and ability to deal with issues with empathy and discretion. • The ability to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated, whilst also working as part of a team • Experience working in a large, complex organisation Desirable Skills • Prior experience working in a HR environment will be seen as an advantage for candidates • Experience working with the Core HRIS or similar HR/Payroll system We are all too aware that imposter syndrome and the confidence gap can sometimes stop fantastic candidates putting themselves forward, so please do submit an application — we’d love to hear from you. Senior Technical Officer
Overall Role and Context: #SETUW A standby panel may be formed from which future vacancies for this role may be filled. Job Overview This Senior Technical Officer (STO) position is based in the Department of Engineering Technology and will have supervision, co-ordination, direction and administration of all technical staff and services in the Department of Engineering Technology, South East Technological University, Waterford Campus, and will report to the Head of Department. The STO will be part of a small team of professionals responsible for the development, implementation, configuration and support of undergraduate programmes in the areas of Electronic, Electrical, Automation, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. The STO will provide technical and service support for all Engineering Technology staff in SETU Waterford Campus. This includes support for classrooms, events, university activities including graduation, and other regional and national events where SETU is present, such as career fairs, promotional events and partner events. The job requires an energetic, enthusiastic person with excellent customer relations management skills as well as a broad-based knowledge of engineering systems and technologies. The STO role is responsible for liaising with Faculties and Departments in SETU Waterford and other services such as Health and Safety, Finance and Estates. The ability to take initiative, give leadership and work with people is an important aspect of this role. The Role of the Senior Executive Librarian The post of Senior Executive Librarian is a professional post requiring a degree and postgraduate qualification in librarianship or a degree in librarianship. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated person, with drive and commitment to delivering quality public services and continual professional development who can demonstrate clear knowledge and understanding of: Salary The salary scale for the position is: €59,417 – €77,243 (LSI 2) gross per annum. Entry point and progression are in line with Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage Circulars. Persons not employed in a local authority post on or after 1st January 2011 will begin at the minimum point. Salary may be adjusted per Government Policy. Location of Post The post holder may be assigned to any Louth County Council premises with reasonable notice. No disturbance allowance is payable. Travel expenses are at the post holder's own cost. Superannuation A. New entrants (post-1 Jan 2013): Join the Single Public Service Pension Scheme. Class A PRSI applies. Contribution: 3% of pensionable remuneration + 3.5% of net pensionable remuneration (minus twice the State Pension Contributory rate). B. Officers pre-1 Jan 2013, Class A PRSI: Contribution of 1.5% + 3.5% of net pensionable remuneration. C. Officers pre-5 April 1995, Class D PRSI: Contribution of 5%. Dependent Scheme participants contribute an additional 1.5%. Retirement Retirement terms depend on the applicable superannuation scheme and will be detailed upon appointment. Health Candidates may be required to undergo a medical exam (refunded upon appointment) by a practitioner nominated by the authority.
