Locum Consultant Paediatric Anaesthesiologist

Purpose of role: This is a post covering maternity leave, that will join the current team of anaesthesiologists in Crumlin At present, the consultants are providing anaesthesia cover to 8 theatres, 1 cardiac catheterisation suite, CT screening room, Nuclear Medicine and MRI. General Anaesthesiology for off-site radiotherapy in St. Luke’s (500 cases per year requiring consultant Anaesthesiologist presence) is also provided in addition to remote intrathecal chemotherapy list within Crumlin Hospital. CHI-Crumlin anaesthesiologists also provide acute pain cover and oversee a growing pre-anaesthetic assessment service. This post is required in order to support the demand for theatre and the need to reduce waiting lists.
