Central Decontamination unit Technician Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to assist in the production of sterilised medical devices for use in all clinical and other assigned areas including Medical Decontamination Unit designated by the hospital. Instruction and Education shall be given on site in respect of the relevant guidelines and required duties. Confidentiality regarding patient information and other hospital data is essential. Essential Criteria: · Has successfully passed the Leaving Certificate or has a qualification equivalent to that of a national awarding body. · A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Decontamination setting · Knowledge of HSE Standards and Recommended Practices for Central Decontamination/Endoscopy Units · Candidates must hold a current certificate in Decontamination and are required to submit a copy with application for post.
