We are currently seeking a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. Contract Type: Fixed term post for 2 years. Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Salary Scale: €54,209 – €64,461 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments). Annual Leave Entitlement : 34 days per annum. Overview of the Post: This specialist role will encompass a major clinical focus, which comprises of assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care given to Service Owners and their families. The post holder will provide direct nursing care and support to Adult Day Services in the region in the areas of complex care and behaviours of concern. They will also provide clinical supervision to nursing staff across the region and at satellite sites as assigned, supporting up to date clinical practice, and develop and deliver bespoke and clinical training programmes as identified with service managers, assuring the competence of healthcare professionals and support staff. The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: · A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in General/RNID/ Paediatric Nursing/Clinical Nurse Specialist. · Must be registered with An Bord Altranais (NMBI). · Hold post graduate (level 9) nursing qualification. · Hold qualification in the area of Behaviour Support. · 2 years’ experience of working in the area of challenging behaviour. · Experience supporting staff to implement behaviour support plans. · At least 5 years post qualification experience working frontline with individuals with disabilities and medical needs. · Experience of facilitating training in some of the following areas: Medication Management, PEG feeding, MAPA training, Positive Behaviour Support, Epilepsy training, Train the Trainer Certified or equivalent certified Training qualification. · Broad knowledge of Enable Ireland and the complexity of working in a large organisation. · Demonstrate continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to their area of work. · Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the register of NMBI for duration of employment. · Practitioners must confirm annual registration with NMBI to Enable Ireland. · Eligible to work in the State. Consultant Haematologist With A Special Interest In Paediatric Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Scope of the Role: The National Children’s Cancer Service (NCCS) at Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) , Crumlin provides diagnosis and treatment to all children and adolescents (0–15 yrs, 364 days) with cancer in Ireland. This comprises those with solid tumors (Oncology) and those with Haematological malignancies (Leukaemia and lymphoma). The NCCS also incorporates the National Centre for Paediatric Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) and is aligned with the National Cancer Control Programme. The activity of the NCCS has significantly increased in both size and complexity over the past number of years. Comprehensive care for children and adolescents with cancer is delivered by robust clinically governed programmes and patient pathways. Treatment for Paediatric Leukaemia and lymphoma (collectively referred to as Haematological Malignancies) is planned according to internationally recognised best practice, and is delivered according to international treatment protocols. The majority of patients with Haematological Malignancies are enrolled on Clinical Trials and treatment is delivered by robust clinically governed programmes. This requires on-going collaborative discussions at MDT level with other CCLG centres. Eligibility Criteria Professional Qualifications and Experience Mandatory: a) Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Haematology (clinical and laboratory) or entitlement to be registered And b) One year documented postgraduate evidence of training and/or experience assuring competence in paediatric haematology.
