Dog Warden
Contribute to the delivery of the Dog Control service within the Health and Community Wellbeing section in accordance with prescribed performance and quality targets. The post holder will as part of a team be responsible for a range of duties in the delivery of an effective dog control service which requires a high level of customer service, the ability to deal with and resolve issues in accordance with procedures and to ensure compliance with relevant statutory and legislative requirements. The postholder may be required to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis (out of hours’ services as required). (Note: Postholders conduct all duties in all weather conditions as a lone worker)
Finance & Verification Officer
Provide a comprehensive financial, verification, and administrative service for the Smart Village Network Project (SVNP) for which Derry City and Strabane District Council is the Lead Partner. The project has been awarded €4.9M funding through the PEACEPLUS Programme, financed through the EU and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The postholder will be responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining financial systems and procedures, managing and monitoring project budgets, ensuring compliance with funding and audit requirements, and providing high-quality administrative and governance support to the project team which includes partners Donegal County Council, ERNACT, North West Regional College and Ulster University. Collate and interpret statistical information, including sensitive data, to meet evaluation and monitoring requirements of the programme.

Clinical Nurse Manager St Finbarrs Hospital, Older Persons Services
St. Finbarr’s Hospital is the largest community hospital in the HSE South. The hospital has 88 beds consisting of continuing care beds for the elderly, a Community Nursing Unit. The Hospital is based on a wider campus site which has many community based services. The Hospital supports the undergraduate BSc nursing programme as a placement site as well as post graduate placements for the Higher Diploma in Gerontology. There is a strong link to UCC on joint research projects in gerontological care. Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019 and they will be operational from 2024. Each Health Region will be tasked with population specific planning resourcing and delivery of health and social care services for the needs of its unique population. This will result in improved accountability and governance in terms of finance and performance, while also bringing decision-making closer to the frontline. Health Regions will enable and empower staff to provide services that are: • Integrated, locally planned and delivered • Easier to access and navigate • Available closer to home Health Regions are geographically based units with clearly defined populations. They align community and hospital services within specific areas. The HSE will retain a strong but leaner central organisation, with more service provision developed at a local level. The HSE South West health region will manage and deliver all public health and social care services in Cork and Kerry. HSE South West includes all hospital and community healthcare services in the region.
