Overall Purpose of the Job To assist with the effective management and delivery of the Bryson Care Domiciliary Care service in accordance with agreed aims and objectives, best practice principles, and statutory and regulatory requirements. Specific Responsibilities Assist with the management of the day-to-day operations of the service and deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence to meet the regulatory requirements of the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority and the Northern Ireland Social Care Council. Accept and process referrals based on the eligibility criteria for the service and allocate work to Care Workers. Provide all relevant information to new service users and arrange initial visits to service user homes. The IPC Nurse (CNM2) will work as part of the Regional Community IPC/AMS team and be supported as a valued team member. Mallow General Hospital is part of the South West Region. Mallow General Hospital (MGH) is a Model 2 hospital as defined by the Acute Medicine Programme. Mallow General Hospital is a 71 bed Acute General Hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and Day patient services. The services provided in the hospital include – general medicine, cardiology, respiratory, gerontology gastroenterology and endocrinology . In patient medical activity is supported by a Medical Assessment Unit and a High Dependency Unit. Mallow General Hospital also provides elective Day surgery, Endoscopy, Injuries Unit, Outpatient department, Physiotherapy, and Radiology including CT scanning services. Specialist and Advanced Practice Nursing includes Cardiology, Respiratory, Diabetes, Tissue Viability, Obesity, Haemovigilance and Infection Control. Six Health Regions have been established within the HSE, on the basis of the geographical boundaries agreed by the Government in July 2019 and they will be operational from 2024.
