Head of Psychology, CRC Clontarf Permanent, Full Time The Head of Psychology will lead and be responsible for the effective delivery of a quality psychology services to children and adults with complex disability via our Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) and our enhanced complex care pathways. Psychology services include assessment, interventions, consultation, research, education and support. Such psychological services will be delivered in line with CRC strategy and objectives and within established professional standards, guidelines and policy. The Head of Psychology will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the CRC strategy including a key focus on developing services in the areas of autism and neurodiversity. This dynamic leader will lead the re-pivoting and expansion of our services to encompass more than just physical disabilities. The Head of Psychology will be a key leader of clinical staff in delivering the CRC’s ambition for service delivery. The successful candidate must be familiar with all relevant national policies and also have the following essential requirements: · Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or related field. · Extensive experience in working with individuals with disability · Extensive experience in working with individuals with autism and neurodiversity. · Proven track record of strategic leadership and service transformation. · Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of evidence-based practices. · Experience in research and innovation within the field of psychology. Details of Service The person appointed to this post will work within the Integrated Services Directorate; working as part of multi-disciplinary teams delivering a coordinated approach to client care. The Public Dental Service provides oral health care for patients eligible for dental services which the Health Services Executive is, or may be, under obligation to provide. A preventative evidence based approach is the fundamental and distinctive character of the public dental service. A dental service is also provided for patients admitted to any institution maintained by the HSE and for those children in the care of the H.S.E. If required an emergency dental service is also provided. Future developments for the service will include enhanced care for Special Needs Groups and Preventative programs. The team structure involves assisting the Principal Dental Surgeon in the general guidance of Clinical Dental Surgeons, Grade 1 and the direct supervision as required of any existing auxiliary dental staff. Clinical Nurse Specialist | Community Palliative Care · 1.0WTE (37.5 hours) · Indefinite duration contract · H.S.E. funded · Based in Blackrock The purpose of this post in is to provide Specialist Palliative Care (SPC) and on-going management to patients and their families/carers under the care of OLH&CS. The aim of the role is to provide for the seamless care of this patient cohort and will involve strong clinical component together with a liaison role with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), specialty services and community services as appropriate to the care of the patient and their family / carers. The CNS will work as a key member of the Consultant-led Inter-disciplinary team providing physical, psychological, social and emotional support to the patient and their family /carers as appropriate to patient need. The post holder’s practice is based on the five core concepts of the CNS role as defined by the NCNM 4th edition (2008) in order to fulfil the role. The concepts are: • Clinical Focus • Patient/Client Advocate • Education and Training • Audit and Research • Consultant Essential Requirements Qualifications: · Registered General Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register with NMBI. · Must demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development · Must have a level 8 (or higher) National Qualifications Authority of Ireland major academic award relevant to specialist palliative care.
