Maintenance Apprentice
About the role Here at Kerry Dairy Ireland Listowel, we have the opportunity for a mechanical and an electrical apprentice to join our team. This 4-year program offers a mix of college-based learning and hands-on experience with skilled craftspeople. If you're midway through your apprenticeship, we want to hear from you too! Upon completion, apprentices receive a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Electrical or Mechanical. Maintenance Technician
About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team in our Listowel manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the equipment used within our plant. You will use your craft qualification to effect this. You will contribute to increasing the reliability of process and utility equipment in support of manufacturing requirements for dependability, quality, safety and environmental. As part of the Maintenance Team, you will work with colleagues from all levels of operations and quality to identify and prioritise equipment issues. An ability to work effectively within your team will also be very important to this role. The maintenance technician role will involve working on a shift rotation, with some shift overtime. The Listowel facility processes 500 million litres of milk annually. Listowel has a comprehensive product offering consisting of Dairy Proteins, Primary Dairy Ingredients, Dry Dairy Ingredients, Dairy Flavours, and Cheese Solutions products manufactured on-site. These product categories can then be applied to a wide spectrum of applications such as Dairy, Bakery, Nutritional Beverages, Savoury snacks, cereals and bars, confectionary, prepared meals as well as ice-cream and frozen desserts. Repairs Technician
We are seeking a practical and motivated individual to join our Property Team, carrying out a range of maintenance and painting/decorating tasks across Simon Community NI sites. Based at our Central Office in Belfast, this full-time role (35 hours per week, 9am–5pm, with some flexibility required) involves regular travel throughout Northern Ireland to deliver both urgent and planned works. As a key point of contact for property-related issues, you will support staff in identifying and reporting repairs, complete administrative duties where required, and ensure our properties remain safe, well-maintained, and welcoming. Profile of Craft The Metal Fabricator’s job includes the reading of drawings, working with materials such as low carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and aluminium. The fabricator is involved in such industries as constructional steel, pressure vessel, tank and boiler manufacture, ship building and ship repair also general engineering. The skills required are wide and varied. They include skills such as measuring, marking out, cutting and welding materials using different processes and assembly techniques.
