Service Desk Team Leader Location: Craigavon Hours: Full‑time - Maternity Cover Salary: Competitive Business Unit: Central Services Open To: Internal and External Applicants Ref No.: HRJOB11420 ㅤ The Role The Service Desk Team Leader plays a critical role within Central Services, overseeing the day‑to‑day operation of the Level 2 Service Desk team and ensuring end users receive a high‑quality, responsive and effective support service. ㅤ Reporting to the Global Service Delivery Manager, the post holder will provide leadership and direction to the Service Desk team, ensuring service requests are accurately logged, prioritised, escalated and resolved in line with agreed Service Levels, policies and procedures. The role has responsibility for monitoring, tracking and coordinating Service Desk activities to ensure a consistently high standard of service delivery. ㅤ The Service Desk Team Leader will drive continuous improvement within the function by reviewing service request trends, analysing performance metrics and identifying opportunities to improve responsiveness, first‑time resolution rates and overall customer satisfaction. They will also play a key role in enforcing escalation procedures and ensuring accurate documentation and incident closure. ㅤ In addition, the role involves coordinating and delivering Service Desk training, ensuring all team members are appropriately trained and informed of changes within the IT environment. Staff Nurse - Infection Prevention & Control
The post-holder will work as a member of the Intravenous Cannulation Audit and Training (IVCAT) Team under Infection Prevention and Control Team providing specialist IVCAT service to all healthcare staff. The post holder will participate in staff education programmes encouraging staff to develop clinical expertise for the benefit of staff and users of the service. The post holder will be responsible for the implementation of the peripheral venous catheter/central venous catheter (PVC/CVC) best practice guidance, care bundle implementation, monitoring process for CVC and PVC insertion practices as appropriate, education and training and incident review process. Clinical Nurse Manager, Bank Unit
The Nursing Bank Unit Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) 3 manages the fluctuating additional nursing staffing needs of the Mater hospital. The CNM 3 will be part of the Clinical Nurse Management team. The post holder will directly manage the day to day operational management and professional responsibility of the Nursing Bank Unit (NBU). This will include professional responsibility of the Nursing Bank Team (NBT), Safe Staffing Facilitator, and Clinical Support Co-Ordinator; recruitment, professional development, performance and retention; as well as Hours as Required (HAR) staff. The post holder will also develop close working relationship with external nursing agencies providing leadership to both HAR and Agency staff. The post holder, in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Management team and the NBT, will advise and respond to the daily temporary staffing needs of the hospital through resource management, coordinating shifts, ensuring cost-effective service, maintaining quality care standards, and facilitating communication.
