Lifeguard/Pool Attendant
Overall Purpose of the Post: To work as a Lifeguard/Pool Attendant to provide hydrotherapy pool services to children and young adults. Duties: • Water quality test monitoring and record keeping • Respond to any medical / accident/ incident / emergencies situations which may arise • Customer Relations (be it dealing with service users, their families/ carers, other staff users, hires, main centre enquires) • Maintaining high standards of hygiene in the department both in and out of the water and adhere fully to all hygiene procedures for all areas of the department • Plant Room and Boiler Room Operations, as instructed by Manager • Be familiar with Pool Normal Operation Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) • Be fully acquainted with and follow open up and close down procedures • Assist in the dressing room with service owners/users, if required • Assist owners/users on deck with use of hoists entering and exiting the water • Stock control of cleaning products, chemical products, care products, towels when required • To participate in training programmes and other developmental needs as identified by Line Managers, Director of Services or Enable Ireland • Participate in regular supervision • To adhere to record keeping requirements in accordance with agreed procedures • To participate in other quality assurance activities within the service, including risk assessments. • To attend relevant meetings as required and participate appropriately • To adhere to practices, policies and procedures as outlined in the Enable Ireland’s Policies & Procedures Manual and Health & Safety Statement • To be flexible and supportive of other departments and undertake any other activities as requested by the Children’s Services Manager / Director of Services • Respond positively and favourably to Pool changing needs and operational practices, when required • Keeping up to date records of all care duties carried out This description is not restrictive and the post holder may be required to carry out other duties as requested by the Director of Services/Facilities Services Manager. Reporting to the Head of Risk & Resilience, this role will have full oversight of the business’s compliance within its Operational Risk and Quality Assurance Frameworks. Reporting on business adherence and ensuring appropriate frameworks and KPIs are in place to measure as well as to Monitor and escalate risks relating to breaches of process coming out of Quality Assurance Reports. Essential functions of this role will include but are not limited to: To be successful in this role you will need to have an advanced understanding of operational risk within Insurance or wider financial services. Proven experience with QA/QC and outsourcing will also be advantageous as will a background in governance and/or L&D. Principal Social Worker
Principal Social Worker Purpose of the Role The post holder will be assigned to The Alders Unit, a specialist child sexual abuse service and will be expected to contribute to the overall management and leadership of the service as well as undertaking clinical work. It will be necessary for the person appointed to possess the skills, knowledge and adaptability to work in The Alders Unit as part of the management team of the Unit, including the provision of supervision and line management to Senior Social Workers /staff members employed in the service. Essential Criteria: Each candidate must : · Have obtained the National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW) or equivalent. · Have a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Social Work. · Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in working in the area of Child Sexual Abuse. · Have evidence of registration with CORU. · Possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability to discharge satisfactorily the duties of the office. · Possess a high standard of professional attainment. · Have relevant experience of working in a managerial capacity and in the provision of supervision.
