Job Purpose: The role will support a number of key college functions: identifying funding opportunities, supporting the College Development Planning process and the needs of the Department, and fulfilling a key role in enabling the College to provide mobility and exchange opportunities for staff and students. Location: To be confirmed with the successful candidate Main Duties and Responsibilities Development Planning Supporting the Director of Development & Support and the Head of College Planning, Development & Support to produce the annual College Development Plan and annual operating plan(s), and review progress with implementation. To provide written responses and data analysis including summarising content for presentation and dissemination, and provide written and oral presentations to support College activity. To analyse data and produce a range of relevant socio-economic reports and conduct primary and secondary research to assist with College strategy and policy development. Supporting Mobilities and Exchange Initiatives 4. To support Managers and staff to secure, embed and deliver mobility and work placement programmes. 5. Support staff and student selection for mobilities and exchange initiatives. 6. To contribute to developing effective systems for processing, monitoring, and reporting on student mobilities. 7. To undertake administration and co-ordination duties relating to staff/student mobilities. 8. To travel abroad, including over weekends, to promote College business. Funding 9. To identify student/staff mobility funding opportunities from a range of funders across Northern Ireland/UK and European/International. 10. To develop project ideas for submission of grant applications and help prepare funding applications for staff and student mobilities. 11. Assist relevant project staff with the planning and delivery of student mobility projects where appropriate, to include progressing the roll-out and implementation of new College projects including development of monitoring target delivery, outcomes and impacts. 12. To provide administrative support for the preparation and presentation of suitable funding applications, business plans, and associated documentation in line with College strategic objectives. 13. To convene internal project and working groups as necessary to facilitate staff/student mobilities and to evaluate ongoing implementation issues. Development and Support 14. To support internal and external audits. 15. To report to management on targets and KPIs, as required. 16. To support other functions within the Department of Planning, Development and Support, including Entitlement Framework provision. 17. To provide administration, co-ordination, and liaison with stakeholder support for community provision and delivery. Carrying Out Repairs and Service • Ensure that all work specified on the job card is carried out • Where work over and above that specified is identified, report the need to the Workshop Controller/Service Advisor • Where necessary, seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs • Where necessary use workshop manuals and technical service handbooks to locate faults • Carry out servicing to the highest possible standard • Where applicable, road-test vehicles after servicing to ensure satisfactory running order • Carry out all work observing safe working systems and having proper regard to personal safety and that of others Diagnosis and Problem Solving • Where instructions are unclear, communicate with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisor or directly by telephone with the customer to ensure clarity • Where required, meet personally with the customer to help identify problems such as intermittent faults • Where necessary, test-drive vehicles with customers Post Repair Service Administration • Write up job cards detailing clearly the fault, the diagnosis, and the repair done on each vehicle • Where necessary, discuss work done with Service Advisor or directly with the customer as appropriate • Where necessary, road test vehicle again with customer • For all services, complete a Service Report • Where requested, complete Road Test Reports and Tyre Reports • Where additional work has been identified and carried out, complete a Defects Report Other • With colleagues, ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained • Uphold and promote company procedures and guidelines • Report to the Service Manager or Workshop Controller any additional tools or equipment required to carry out work effectively • Communicate best practice solutions to colleagues in the workshop • Maintain special tools and personal hand tools to ensure safe working practice is achieved at all times. Cork JOB SUMMARY This post is in Network 13: Carrigaline/Kinsale/Bandon Children’s Disability Network Team (CKB CDNT), working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young people, 0-18yrs and their families. The criteria for CNDT is children with complex needs arising from a disability, where those needs require the support of an interdisciplinary disability team. This might include children with intellectual, physical, sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay. These teams are under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE.
