The services have close links with the Clinical Psychology Doctoral programmes. Many staff also provide lectures as part of the academic modules of the doctoral programme. The services also provide a variety of clinical training placements to trainees from various accredited programmes. Supervision (individual & group) and continuous professional development arrangements are in place for all staff. Reporting Relationship: The successful candidate will report to the Principal Psychologist Manager with accountability for day to day operational matters. Purpose of the Post: Deliver, develop and manage the delivery of a psychology service within Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Cavan Monaghan HSE in line with service plans and objectives and within established professional standards, guidelines and policy. The Senior Psychologist is a core member of the CAMHS multi-disciplinary team delivering psychological consultation, assessment and therapeutic interventions to children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. The Senior Psychologist will work collaboratively with the other Senior Psychologists working in CAMHS in Cavan Monaghan. And iv. Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for. And v. Applicants must have at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the post-graduate professional qualification and no less than two years full-time spent in post-qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
