Academic Coordinator
This competition is confined to persons currently employed by Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. The Role The post holder will serve as a key enabler of Marymount University Hospital & Hospice's Education and Research portfolio, providing expert academic coordination support across a range of programmes delivered in partnership with University College Cork and other academic bodies. Reporting to the Academic Director, the post holder will work closely with the Education and Research Manager and programme directors to ensure the seamless administration of the full academic lifecycle from student induction and programme promotion through to examination management, external examiner liaison, accreditation support, and quality assurance processes. The post holder will act as the primary point of contact for students, academic staff, and central university offices, ensuring that programme information, policies, and processes are communicated accurately and efficiently. A central element of the role will be supporting the coordination of internal and external examination boards, curriculum change processes, and the development of academic standard operating procedures that reflect best practice across Marymount's growing Education and Research function. Beyond academic administration, the post holder will contribute to organisational projects and learning innovation initiatives, assist in the preparation of funding proposals, and provide senior administrative leadership to the wider education team. The role demands a high degree of flexibility, as the post holder may be required to rotate across academic programmes and take on responsibilities that evolve in line with the strategic development of the Education and Research portfolio.
