We are currently seeking a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in Arklow, Co. Wicklow with two days per week outreach work in our Dublin services. Contract Type: Fixed term post for 2 years. Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part time hours considered). Salary Scale: €54,209 – €64,461 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments). Overview of the Post: This specialist role will encompass a major clinical focus, which comprises of assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care given to Service Owners and their families. The post holder will provide direct nursing care and support to Adult Day Services in the region in the areas of complex care and behaviours of concern. They will also provide clinical supervision to nursing staff across the region and at satellite sites as assigned, supporting up to date clinical practice, and develop and deliver bespoke and clinical training programmes as identified with service managers, assuring the competence of healthcare professionals and support staff. The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: · A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in General/RNID/ Paediatric Nursing/Clinical Nurse Specialist. · Must be registered with An Bord Altranais (NMBI). · Hold post graduate (level 9) nursing qualification. · Hold qualification in the area of Behaviour Support. · 2 years’ experience of working in the area of challenging behaviour. · Experience supporting staff to implement behaviour support plans. · At least 5 years post qualification experience working frontline with individuals with disabilities and medical needs. · Experience of facilitating training in some of the following areas: Medication Management, PEG feeding, MAPA training, Positive Behaviour Support, Epilepsy training, Train the Trainer Certified or equivalent certified Training qualification. · Broad knowledge of Enable Ireland and the complexity of working in a large organisation. · Demonstrate continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to their area of work. · Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the register of NMBI for duration of employment. · Practitioners must confirm annual registration with NMBI to Enable Ireland. · Eligible to work in the State. The Civil Registration Service maintains all records of births, deaths and marriages in the Irish State, and is part of the Health Service Executive. The HSE is required, through each Superintendent Registrar, to manage, control and administer the Civil Registration Service, under the overall management, control and supervision of an tArd Chláraitheoir. The HSE is required by the Civil Registration Act 2004 to appoint a Superintendent Registrar and registrars to each registration area. Civil Registration is carried out primarily for the purpose of processing notifications, registering and updating records of life events in accordance with defined processes and legal requirements. Clinical Midwife Manager, Maternity Services, University Hospital
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University Hospital Kerry, provides comprehensive services for antenatal, intra natal, post natal mothers and their babies and also for women who require gynaecological procedures. The Department is closely integrated with the Regional Tertiary referral centre at Cork University Maternity Hospital in respect of clinical standards and governance. The Birth rate in 2021 was just under 1,300 deliveries. Midwifery Staff/Managers allocated to the area rotate between ante-natal/labour and delivery and post natal areas to ensure continuing care and midwife competence. Purpose of the Post The post of Clinical Midwife Manager 2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area on a day to day basis. Facilities Supervisor
OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE: The post holder will be responsible for leading a team of skilled craft workers to deliver building maintenance, implement maintenance contracts and general repair requests. They will be responsible for daily maintenance requests and for providing support to Facilities projects. The role will involve liaising with internal Almac staff and the coordination of external construction contractors. Manage daily workloads of the Facilities Maintenance Team through the Engineering Service Desk. Line management responsibility for the Facilities Maintenance Team. Set performance targets and continually monitor progress. Liaise with Line Manager on a regular basis regarding progress, issues or circumstances which alter agreed time scales and work schedules. Ensure that the Facilities Department operates within the constraints of all current health, safety and environmental legislation. Coordinate and manage Facilities Maintenance Service Providers used on the Craigavon. QUALIFICATIONS HND or Degree in Engineering or construction related discipline EXPERIENCE Previous experience in a supervisory role. Previous experience managing contractors Previous experience of people management. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
