A Polymer Processing Engineer is responsible for the efficient set up and operation of polymer processing lines in the fields of Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding or Extrusion moulding for the production of plastic components relevant to industry standards. This apprenticeship programme through a collaboration of industrial and academic learning and assessments will provide apprentices with the required knowledge, skills and competence to work autonomously in the field of polymer processing. TPS manufactures injection moulded components for the automotive industry and are currently in a transitional phase to supply to a network of medical device component industries. This opportunity would provide the applicant with well rounded experience, training and qualification in the field of polymer processing and injection moulding. Upon successful completion of, this 3 year apprenticeship, programme, the successful applicant will have a strong technical aptitude of processing characteristics & parameters for a broad range of polymer materials; they will work cross-functionally with Production Team Leaders/Moulding Managers/Quality/Toolroom/Maintenance Department/ Material Suppliers & external customers to address machine, material, mould, die or tooling issues, including complex tooling assembly & breakdown.
