Group Operations Manager

C&D Foods’ Headquarters is in Mullingar, County Westmeath. This role is to ensure C&D Foods operations can both meet its current objectives and develop a continuous improvement culture where we can improve the quality, output and OTIF (Customer Service Level) of the business while ensuring the structure of the business is managed to a standard. C&D foods and the wider ABP group is a progressive business that invests and promotes people who can add value to the business. This successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop in a fast growing business with the opportunity to grow within the business. Key Relationships: · Develop an understanding of ensure a transfer of knowledge on successes across the site · Lead the morning group production meeting and minute and publish the outcome of the meeting daily · Work closely with the various site engineering teams · Work with production to ensure the sites are staffed to the standard manning level · Ensuring that Standard operating procedures are in place for all processes · Ensure the standard of people training of the people is sufficient and that there is the correct documentation in place to ensure consistent training · The role requires travelling to the site to understand the operation of the site first hand · Ensure each site is operating to our quality standards and any issues are raised to the site General Manager and relevant Group Heads. · Responsible for ensuring health and safety on each site is maintained in its operations · Develop action plans with the site to ensure the above tasks are met · Produce a weekly report on the state of every site and the action plan to turn any metrics that are red to green. Personal Competencies and Qualifications: The role requires a degree qualified self starter who can learn and manage a process end to end. The key aspect of this role is to learn both the technical aspects of the process and be able to layer the understanding of people and how they integrate into the process. The understanding of people will include the management of the people who operate the equipment and the supervisors and managers who oversee these people. The role requires weekly travel to various sites and the ability to work with the General Manager of each site and interface across the various sections of the business, particularly engineering and quality. Main Duties and Responsibilities: This engineering programme will give you opportunity to work with advanced food processing machinery with all the demands of a fast paced environment. You will work alongside highly skilled engineers striving to attain engineering excellence whilst eliminating waste and reducing costs. You will build on your current knowledge gained in your engineering degree and / or apprenticeship to continuously improve processes to exceed customer expectations. This is a factory based role with opportunity for managerial experience from a very early stage. You will take on responsibility and real time challenges through dynamic projects and people management. You will need a "can do attitude" and a passion for engineering. A positive approach will be essential along with excellent problem solving skills and an abundance of drive and determination. Knowledge and Experience: We`re looking for Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering degrees, or a candidate with a full Engineering Apprenticeship demonstrating industrial experience relevant to the food industry. Operations Graduate
The operations function within ABP ensures that our products are safe, legally compliant and meet with our customer requirements. Our graduate program will provide individuals with a thorough understanding of all operational aspects of our business from abattoir to finished product. As a graduate you will have a structured development program supported by your manager, mentor and learning department. You will rotate across a minimum of 3 sites during the 2 year period. We have 5 sites in NI including ABP Lurgan, ABP Newry, Linden Foods Retail Dungannon, Linden Foods Primal Dungannon and Kettyle Irish Foods Lisnaskea. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and vibrant team in an all-encompassing training program! Main Duties & Responsibilities Your ultimate goal will be to progress towards a leadership position at one of our sites in NI or the UK. From day one, you will get hands on experience supporting our factory operations team. You will get exposure to our wide range of products and processes across both retail and primal sites gaining an understanding of how to run a production line and manage a team. We will teach you about our farm to fork process and be involved in projects across the departments gaining invaluable experience within the food industry. Shift Craft Electrical Technician

At C&D Foods Edgeworthstown we have a requirement for a Craft Technician (Electrical) working on Shift (12Hhr Continental Shift Pattern) within our Engineering Department. Shift Pattern The shifts are 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am. The shift cycle would be as follows: Week 1 – In Monday and Tuesday, Off Wednesday, and Thursday and In Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Week 2- Off Monday and Tuesday, In Wednesday and Thursday and Off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
