We are looking for candidates who are innovative, diligent, ambitious, ability to learn on the job, and have very good communication skills. ** JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES** • Machine building and mechanical assembly • Machine high quality precision tooling parts according to engineering drawings provided • Interpreting technical assembly drawings and equipment manuals • Dismantling, repair/rework and fitting of new parts when performing maintenance • Installation of production equipment • Condition monitoring using modern maintenance techniques • Report writing of completed repairs • Commisioning machines/equipment on our customers site from time to time (Ireland and abroad) **REQUIREMENTS** • Comfortable to work individually or as part of a team • Great communication skills: Working closely with the assembly supervisor and the project team • Excellent fault-finding and problem solving skills • Working knowledge and skills in assembly and repairs of mechanical systems such as bearings, gears, belts & pulleys etc. • Experience in pneumatics would be an advantage • To be fully competent with a variety workshop machines such as lathes, manual milling machine, surface grinders, etc. • Attention to detail is essential • A passion/strong interest in engineering is essential

Job Summary FUNCTION OF JOB: To deliver to apprentices all aspects of Phase 2 of the Standards Based Apprenticeship to the prescribed standards and in accordance with the relevant syllabus. The salary for the post ranges from €40,666 to €64,701 per annum inclusive of 2 LSI increments. The successful candidate’s qualifications and experience will determine the entry level, which will be between €40,666 and €46,607.
