The College, in conjuction with South West College (SWC), is seeking applications for a College Business and Financial Analyst to be based in our Strand Road campus. Reporting to the Financial Director/Head of Finance the postholder will assist in the development of the Colleges by preparing a range of Business Cases and Project Evaluations. The postholder will be required to ensure compliance with the Northern Ireland Guide to Expenditure Appraisal and Evaluation, all other relevant regulations and requirements as demanded by the Colleges, sponsor Department and statutory agencies. This is a joint position working with North West Regional College (NWRC) and South West College (SWC). Lecturer In Digital Literacy
The College is seeking applications for a Lecturer in Digital Literacy based in our Strand Road Campus on a fixed term basis for 4 years. This may increase or decrease depending on operational requirements. Primary Functions: The Deli Manager is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation and profitability of the Deli Department. Essential Functions • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures with respect to department operations, quality, safe food handling to ensure compliance state, federal and OSHA safety and sanitation regulations. • Tracks sales, manages inventory, and orders merchandise to ensure freshness, meet customer demands and ensure profitability of department. • Schedules staff and delegates work assignments. • Provides training on department procedures, safe food handling, and sanitation regulations. • Cooperates with other departments in special promotions to help drive sales. • Ensures that staff work safely and comply with local, state, and government weights, measures and labeling laws. • Oversees and maintains merchandise presentation (freshness, cleanliness, organizing, stocking and removing). • Greets and takes orders from customers. • Any other duties as assigned. Competencies The Deli Manager must be self-motivated, flexible, conscientious, organized, and have a good attention to detail. Also, must have good interpersonal and communication skills, and interface well with management, co-workers, and the public. Community Support Worker
BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION PERMANENT PART-TIME 4 x PERMANENT PART-TIME COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKERS TURAS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SERVICES JOB REF: 82122 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Temporary and Permanent Community Support Worker appointments may be made over the next 6 months. Location: TURAS Family & Community Services is a community-based service based in Galway City, with a satellite service in the Ballinasloe and Tuam area. The service provides supports to children whom have varying abilities. We are primarily a community based service and are looking to gradually expand the geographical areas, in where we operate satellite services from. The posts will be located in Galway City and surrounding areas. The Role: The Community Support Workers role is exciting and innovative. This support is an alternative form of respite for families. As a Community Support Worker, you will be assigned a caseload where you will be providing support to a number of children and their families. In this role, you will be required to work as part of a team, as well as on your own initiative, and become an advocate for each child and family you are supporting. The role will involve supporting children that use our services, to actively participate in their communities where possible, promote community integration, social inclusion and life skills development. In this role, there may be identified goals to focus your supports on, which will work towards the model of community and social inclusivity. There may also be identified goals around supporting the child to participate in leisure and recreational activities, or assisting them in socialising in group situations with their peers. The Community Support Worker role within Turas Family and Community services, can take the form of after school supports, school holiday supports and Saturday clubs. There may be duties around providing personal care and following behaviour support plans. As part of the role you will be liaising with members of the Children’s Disability Network Teams and adhering to Brothers of Charity Services Ireland-West region policies and procedures in how the service operates. The successful candidate will initially be assigned to working in one particular area of the service however the work location may change depending on service needs. The main responsibilities are to support resource-management and staffing - including rosters, staff development, facilitating communication and professional leadership in order to ensure a good quality of life for the people attending the Service. Qualifications/Experience: Working Hours: Contracted hours are 35 hours per week and will be based on a 7-day duty roster. Supernumerary hours are included to support the governance and management of the Service.
